trouble setting up VA

I downloaded the scripts, but all I get is a blank page. The server error log says:

[Mon Mar 12 15:11:04 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function removedangerous() in C:\\Program Files
(x86)\\Apache Software Foundation\\Apache2.2\\htdocs\\va\\FsPadmin\\index.php on line 33

I have other databases running, I just have trouble setting up this one.

When I try to import the sample database using phpMyAdmin, I get this:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near
'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 72



I have php 5.3.9 and MySQL 5.5.20
