My aircraft turns to the left or right during take off only in FsPassengers
Author: Antonis SX-AKO      20 Posts  Status: Young recruit Date    06-30-11 11:49

Hello again,
I have another problem. While I am on take off and just when I reach 100 knots and prepare to pitch up the nose of the RJ100, it starts to turn
to the left or to the right. :grrr:
I checked my FSX and calibrated again my joystick and all looks fine. I also tested the aircraft on take off without FsPassengers and it took off
fine. I have this problem only with this aircraft.
Any solutions?

By turning to the left or right, is the aircraft rolling as you pitch up, or is it turning as if using the nose gear/ rudder?

While I am in the ground and right when I reach the 100 knots, before pitching up the nose. It's turning slightly to the left or right, like turning
with the gear/rudder. Like having an engine idle and all other three to full power, so it turns to the side of the idle engine. Although all engines
work at the same level.

This is the video I uploaded with the problem I have on take off and shows that the four engines are running ok and when I speed them up
with turning, the airplane starts to turn on its own.

Antonis,

What are your environment settings at the time, specifically, I mean the wind velocity? I use FS9 and this happens to me as well when I have a high
crosswind. Your video showed the plane turning dramatically to the right, so either your controls are not centered to begin with, or perhaps either
the HDG or NAV buttons on your autopilot are engaged, or you have one hell of a crosswind going. If you fly with calm weather, does this also happen?
Does this happen with this aircraft no matter what airport or heading you take off from?

Another thing you could do...try flying without your joystick (i.e. with the keyboard), just to see what happens. Push the Number Pad 5 button to
center your rudder and ailerons prior to engaging the thrust.

If all else fails...since you say it only happens with this aircraft, why don't you try deleting the aircraft, downloading it again and setting it up
again from scratch. There might be something awry within the aircraft.cfg file that is causing this problem.

I hope this helps.

This also hapens to me on FS9.Like I have feel that plane goes to the right like something is pushing him but not all plane but i I have feel that the
rear of the plane goes to the right and that is nose like sliding on runway couse I am making ruder corections so he doesnt go completly off. Also I
have noticed that this doesnt hapen always.when I fly with IVAO with PMDG,Level-D it is ok.But moustly hapens when I fly offline with some weather
teme and if I remember corectly it hapens even when it is all clear.Anyway i will conduct few test with changing airports, planes, weather
conditions(online/offline)

Feel free to fly!

I watched the video and something similar hapens to me.But I was ignoring this problem...If you could please upload another video with view from
cockpit and show me all takeoff roll on runway and when it hapens when you are filming please dont let it go wild control it so I can compare to my
simptoms caouse i think we have same problem..

Feel free to fly!

I think I have just managed to solve the problem. It should be a problem related with the autosave of fspassengers and also the FSX loading
two specific airplanes.
In more words when I load the autosave of FsPassengers, the aircraft goes as the video shows. Before some minutes I tried to start a totally
new flight with that aircraft and it took off as it should, smoothly and parallel to the runway stripes. So that makes me think that the problem
has to do with FSX and that it loads the aircraft with wrong parameters( for example when I startup the engines one doesnt start up correctly)
and for that reason the airplane is turning. I will make a couple more flights today to check my statement and if I continue to have the problem
I will upload another video with view from the cockpit and my tries to keep it straight

Hello Guys, I know it's been more than an year ago, but I'm having this problem of the airplane turning by it's own will either when taxing or
while on a take off procedure. It doesn't matter which aircraft, and if I am using a joystick or not. It does matter if I am using fsxpassengers or
not. If I am not using it, the plane goes okay, on a taxiway or on a runaway. And I am talking about little planes, with only one engine. So it can't
be misconfiguration of the turbines or anything else. Please guys, I need help. This could be something to do with gyro drift realism settings
with the fspassengers configuration file?
Thanks for your attention guys.

Best Regards
Andre Luiz - Brasil ;)

With little single engined planes that is normal, I am not sure what it is called but that happens in real world single engined planes too.

You just need to steer to opposite direction using rudder / nose gear.

Do you use full realism settings without fspassengers?

Hello rukiveer,
Thanks for your reply, and sorry for not responding before. I was very very busy at work and just returned now to the virtual flying world.
Well seems that this happens to me with big airplanes either. I used to set realism without fspassengers but reduced it a lot after installing
this addon. Sometimes I do what our friend Antonis says: Just exit and start a new flight without loading fspassengers load file. And the
airplane goes okay on the take off procedure. I still don't have a clue what's happening.

regards

Andre Luiz
