Ermm slight problem....
Author: Mattyboom      36 Posts  Status: Student pilot Date    08-19-05 21:17

Hello,

I have now used the kittyhawk model and the FXX model, of a Boeing 737-800, now, when i load of each aircraft, i always make sute the centre of
gravity is in the centre. I am choosing the payload model 737-800 (not the cargo one) and for some reason, its not lifting of the ground, without
FSPassengers its fine.

Don get me wrong this isnt a complaint, I just wdonred how i can fix it!

Flaps? Trim? Are you pulling back?

EDIT: for the kittyhawk the it rotated about 100 knts! Then the nose owudnt go down, it stalledin a vertical climb, then flipped into inverted, then
dived to the ground :(

What does this mean? We don't have a "half" flap setting in the 737. Takeoff flaps in the Next Gen 737's are going to be either 1,5,10,15
or 25 (the next gens have the widest range of acceptable flap settings). Make sure your trim is set in the green takeoff trim band prior to
takeoff.

The 737 SHOULD not rotate at 100KTS [unless you weigh 90K or less (that means no PAX, cargo, etc.)]. Try rotating at 125-140KTS. I
don't know how the hell you even managed to rotate at 100KTS, let alone lift off the ground! This time, it sounds like you have trim set for
WAY TOO MUCH NOSE UP! Set it to about 5 units. Of course you're going to stall at this slow of speed.

Let me know if any of this helps, or if you need any further help.

That's what it sounds like to me. Typically, when you just load up a plane via the FS9 menu, it's FULLY loaded (in terms of fuel... don't
know about PAX). If this is the way you fly, you'll be rotating at a VERY HIGH speed. Let us know more information as to your current
settings when all this stuff happens!
