| Voice packs???? What good are they? |

I got up today feeling extra special grumpy and read some posts about voice packs for individual airlines and the "welcome aboard"
speech. I know that I'm The Jerk but I don't understand what this has to do with flying. They could be in Mandarin and I wouldn't care. I
welcome comment to convince me the error of my thoughts..........GO.

The point of a flight simulator is to simulate reality, and the voice messages add to the illusion. They're part of the experience.

I only listen to the voices in my head....they do simulate reality  But, when I start drinking, those voices speak Mandarin...then I'm
completely lost.

OK, I've got a question then. Would it be possible to create some recordings of my family when I take them flying in my cessna 150 and convert
them to voice packs for use in small GA planes? All I'm getting right now is the "ooh" when I hit a pocket of slightly rough air.

I guess my question would be if it bothers you so much why are you on a forum about Passenger/Airline simulation? We want individual
customized announcements to go with our Passenger/Airline simulation experience.

And I, must be an idiot to try and convince you why voice packs are good.
They're good for me. That's why.
Take your ball and bat and go play somewhere else, because on this field called FSPASSENGERS, we like to play with the flight attendants.

Well I don't care about the voicepacks etc.
To get more realism I fly online with VATsim,....with "real" ATC and other pilots around the world.
That in combination with FsP is great.
So I'm busy enough with ATC other aircraft etc,....then to listen to somebody who's telling me that there are so many buttons in the cockpit
But is just how I bump the realism.

Every time I fly a new airline in real life I record parts of the flight and get all the announcements.
I now have quite a few full voice packs as a result, and it makes FS more realistic for me because it's the exact same announcements I heard.
I have for example: Flybe, Spanair, Volotea etc.
