Pilot Transfer Costs - Dynamo - 17-01-2006 Is it possible to remove this somehow? I started a company with myself as a pilot, with $500K. I have flown about 60 flights, worked up to C10, flying around in a Beechcraft 1900D. (In economic and career mode). Took me quite a while to get the cash to buy the 1900D, but finally got there, I currently have about £300 in the bank. (I switch currency). I relaised it was taking me a lot of time to get the cash to get to fly my PMDG 737. So being a little too impatient, I created a new company with enough cash to buy the 737. I then tranfered my pilot to the new company. All was fine. Until I relaised, there is no way I can send my pilot back to the original company (it costs me £4M to transfer between my two companies - odd I should have to pay something to switch between flying for either of my companies....). So my original company (that I would really like to still develop) has currently no pilots - and no chance of getting a new pilot to fly the aircraft it owns (the other planes are the Baron 58 and King air). Is there any way to: A) Use the same pilot in both companies (a contractor type pilot - flies for both companies he (I) owns, one a regional prop company, one an international commercial jet company). B) Remove the transfer costs. Can anyone help? Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - runibl - 17-01-2006 It is not possible to remove transfer costs. It's been discussed here http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1556 Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - Full_Throttle0 - 20-01-2006 why would it cost money to transfer a pilot? maybe contract violation? Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - Covoxer - 21-01-2006 Quote:why would it cost money to transfer a pilot? maybe contract violation? No. Just to prevent cheating vith virtual airlines. ![]() If it was free, one could fly one pilot for 2 companies and he would promote twice faster than if he would be flying two separate pilots. Anyway, that high transfer costs are implemented to make such behaviur inpossible. So you can not fly fly 1 pilot on 2 companies... ![]() P.S. If you really want resurect your old company transferring your pilot back, I can help you. I can transfer him for free. ![]() have think before making such mistake again. Drop me private message if you interested. ![]() Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - Ryanamur - 21-01-2006 The obvious solution if you want to move a C10 pilot to a new 500K company is to create load one of the two basic companies (the one with 700,000,000 would be best) and to transfer your pilot to that company. Take note of the cost of the transfer. Now, create your new company but custom built your scenario to be 500K + the cost of the transfer. Once the company is create, simply move your pilot back to the new company and you'll be left with exactly 500K. Phil Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - CowlFlapsOpen - 26-01-2006 ahh John, the old cheating thing :-) Who would do such a thing and who would they be cheating? (cheers--just couldn't resist buddy!) When I first encountered this I assumed it had some real world reason such as contract violation. I was stunned at the price and wondered whether in the real world pilots had to pay steep fees (like coaches) if they leave contracts early. If it just a game gimmick I'm kind of disappointed. Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - Sovek - 26-01-2006 Create a new pilot, then sell the Baron 58 or King Air, get a mooney Bravo or something like that then fly between the two companies. Re: Pilot Transfer Costs - Covoxer - 26-01-2006 CowlFlapsOpen: Quote:ahh John, the old cheating thing :-)Well, I'm here to help. Nothing else. ![]() Quote:Who would do such a thing and who would they be cheating? (cheers--just couldn't resist buddy!) ![]() It's not about cheating. I do provide this kind of help but do control it. So I would not let enyone to make such things many times. This way it is generally good for the game. Sometimes people make little mistakes that may cost them entire game with a lot of effort wasted. Some of them can live with it and start all over again. Others may lose patience and the interest to FsP. We can't allow it. Can we? ![]() So, those who are dissapointed by small mistake can get help from me and learn to not repeat it again. This way they may be more happy with the game. ![]() Believe me, I would never help anyone to make anything that maybe considered as a cheat. ![]() Though definitioun is purely on my concience ![]() ![]() This particular situation with Dynamo could be avoided if he made a backup copy. And making backup copies is not a cheat - it is even recomended by developer. So in this case I would do just what backup would in case it was present. Besides, as I say, I wouldn't do it again if he repeat his mistake. And the final argument is that I have personal permission form Dan to do this. ![]() ![]() Quote:If it just a game gimmick I'm kind of disappointed. It is one more protection from cheating. In reality pilot generally can not fly for two companies simultaneously by obvious reasons (not financial). But in FsP, you could transfer one before every flight. To make it inpossible and so, realistic, it was necessary to make some kind of restriction. High price for transfer is a very good idea I think. You still can transfer your pilot wherever you want but would not do it often, just like in reality. ![]() As to the real world contract violation - pleas note, that it's payed by pilot, not his new company, like it is in FsP. So it's not quite like in RW. ![]() |
