DANGERZONE Problem! - DeCarvalho - 13-01-2006 Ive created a new danger zone in mozambique, because it as a lot of maintenance problems, and the system doesnt say nothing or gives me points for flying there the line ive input in the cfg was the following: Mozambique;fail=30;war=0;lat=-19.75;lon=34.95;range=1800 can anyone explain me why doesnt this line work?please ![]() Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DBE - 13-01-2006 Of hand, I'd say that you have a 30% chance of suffering a technical issue. How many times have you flown over that area? Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DeCarvalho - 13-01-2006 Ive flown there many times usually Maputo to Pemba, Maputo Beira and Maputo Ponta do Ouro...and i never had a problem or it sayd that i was flying in a danger area...i never got more points for flying there i think the line ive input is ok the coordinates and everything i dont understand the problem!!! Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DBE - 13-01-2006 Hmm: I'm at work right now, so I can't really check out my settings, but I'd suggest you try the following: add a minus sign in front of both the latitude and longitude. Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DeCarvalho - 13-01-2006 Do i only receive extra poinsts if i have a failure? Or flying in a dangerzone is enough for gaining extra points....i mean flying even if you dont have any failure...can anyone aprove this? Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DeCarvalho - 13-01-2006 I am gona try what u suggested but i think that Mozambique is in a positive Longitudinal line...it seems to me that the greenwich meeridian is left from Maputo so the time counts positive towards this country and so does the longitude, the latitude is negative for shure because Maputo is situated below the equater line wich are negative latitudes. But ill try your suggestion.... Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DBE - 13-01-2006 You only receive extra points when experiencing (and properly handling) a failure. Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DeCarvalho - 13-01-2006 Even if i am flying in a dangerzone...because if i am flying in a normal zone if i experience a failure i will receive extra points even if its not a dangerzone...in a dangerzone if i experience a failure do i receive more points then in normal zone? Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - Dutch64 - 13-01-2006 The chance of getting a failure is increased by the number you set. It's like affecting the reliability of your aircraft. So, even if your reliabilty is very low, it might still fly perfectly around. The chance that something goes wrong is just huge ![]() Besides that, the maintenance of your aircraft is only measured in economic mode. Do you use that mode? The line you added looks good as far as i can see.... Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DeCarvalho - 13-01-2006 I have already understood...i had in mind that the failure zone worked as the war risk zone when it says in the mini display that you are flying a war zone and it shows the percentage of risk....in a failure zone that doesnt happen for what ive understood....am i right or am i right? ![]() Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - DBE - 13-01-2006 You're uhm, well....... yeah! ![]() And as far as your settings are concerned, Dutch is right: I didn't notice the minus sign infront of your latitude. I guess if you really want to be sure, you are going to have to increase the fail factor to 100% and start praying.. ![]() Re: DANGERZONE Problem! - Drew - 14-01-2006 Quote:DeCarvalho wrote: Because the war is set to zero, it is not a 'danger area' therefore you wont get any extra points for flying over the area. |
