SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - bomen168 - 26-08-2005

How did they make the flight attendant voices for FSPassenger? Did they actually go into a plane and stuff and asked a flight attendant to
do it? The flight attendant voices sound like they were really recorded during flight. But then again theres this wav file where the flight
attendant says "WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR USING FSPASSENGERS...." If you were to make a voice pack how would you
make it sound like the real thing? (REAL ENVIRONMENT)?

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - JayKae - 26-08-2005

Sharon ( my fiancee ) did the actual voice-over but Dan adjusted the sounds in the background etc

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - bomen168 - 26-08-2005

How does he make it sound like the real environment? And how bout the other languages such as german, french, etc.

And do you think your fiancee has the time to make an american accent voice pack? Wink

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - Jetsgo - 26-08-2005

I would think Dan uses recordings from actual airport scenarios. Notice how when you load the plane on FsP, a voice on the PA
sais something like "Attention passengers please proceed to gate C". I don't know exactly but it sounds like that's a real recording. It
would be kind of cool to be able to toggle from voice to voice, and mix it up.

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - SWAFO - 26-08-2005

The sounds are created via different recording and editing messages. They're supposed to add ambiance to the game so that you feel
like you're actually there. They do a good job, don't they?

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - Jetsgo - 28-08-2005

Yes very. I'm sure it's been discussed alot, and this is just me being lazy and not searching, but will there ever be the option of
switching the voices?

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - JayKae - 28-08-2005

She is an Aussie like me, so I do not think an American pack will really work, she can do the "southern belle" swirl to the voice but that
sounds unnatural coming from an Aussie. IMHO we need a 'real' American woman to do the pack for the American accent.

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - bomen168 - 29-08-2005

I just want to know how they make the sounds sound like the environment. Like you hear it kind of muffled like it's really coming from the
cabin when you hear it with closed cockpit doors. And also the cabin bells and sounds and stuff.

too bad we cannot put a face with the voice... makes me want to move to australia Smile
give her my compliments for subliminally adding extra pleasure to FS9 Turning

I've got a wife, but I doubt she's up for it! lol

I'll check! You're lucky JaeKay to have a fiancee that supports your hobbies! Don't get me wrong, my wife supports my career but doesn't
understand this flight simulation stuff!

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - Jetsgo - 31-08-2005

I guess you just can't get enough of flying Brad, whether it's a 737 or 600 billion megapixel airliner Wink

Re: SOUNDS/VOICEPACK - KZLA-CH - 03-09-2005

I was amused when I was telling my brit friend about FS Passengers...I had no idea the attendant was an Aussie, but he picked it up immediately...
