Realism Settings - matgg - 27-08-2012 Hey All! Loving fspassengersX despite a few annoying "no jump allowed messages" but the reason I'm posting is to ask about the fsx realism settings. I have searched the forums and looked in the manual, and I am still confused. I was wondering what they should be for fspasX? Thanks a lot! Re: Realism Settings - SkyAirWorld - 27-08-2012 G'day and welcome to the forum! I'm not 100% on what you're actually asking, can you clarify your question? Re: Realism Settings - rukiveer - 27-08-2012 Well crash settings and such & will be turned on automatically by Fspassengers and also unlimited fuel will be automatically turned off. Then what you can choose yourself are those sliders that let you choose how realistic way your aircraft behave, those aren't chosen by Fspassengers. However I recommend you to turn all those realism settings to full, it's a flight simulator and meant to simulate flying, dumping it down by turning realism lower makes no sense at all. Re: Realism Settings - matgg - 28-08-2012 Hey Sorry if I made it unclear I was basically asking which crash detections should be turned on especially with regard to belly landings and the such. I was confused because I have been able to turn off crash and fly through objects where I though a crash was unfair (larger boundaries than the object like in addon scenery) and if that would mean in the case of a water landing or something I would just bounce back into flight like fsx normally does. So would turning off these settings to avoid scenery collisions mess up some other fspax specific features? Thanks for the replies and welcome! Re: Realism Settings - whiskey-zulu - 28-08-2012 FSPX will automatically reset them if you try to change them. Water landings are not an issue with FSPX running - I've done a few and not been thrown back into the sky. Re: Realism Settings - matgg - 28-08-2012 Awesome thanks for clarifying that!! Re: Realism Settings - Recon - 28-08-2012 Wait,....who's that,.....Sky!!! ![]() Re: Realism Settings - SkyAirWorld - 28-08-2012 He's quietly lurking haha good to see the regulars still around. Apologies for the hijack Matgg and hope you're enquiry was resolved Re: Realism Settings - matgg - 07-10-2012 Hehe my thread is now squawking 7500 ![]() Re: Realism Settings - matgg - 08-10-2012 Actually I did a bit of testing, and started up the ol' deimo airlines. I did what I normally do for flying to ozx airfields and changed realism after starting the flight to ignore crashes. I then tried my hardest to cause some sort of crash, but to no avail. It wouldn't even let me do a good water landing, just throw me back to the sky. My worry is that now I have two alternatives: Leave realism settings and get a crash at the end of a 3 hour flight while landing at an ozx dirt strip even though I missed the tree by a good 100ft, or collied with path of a cow at a ftx airport even when the cow is now nowhere to be seen or Turn realism off and when I do get a fuel leak above the ocean not be able to put it down anywhere as a water landing, or not get penalised for stalling and crashing into a tree and just go straight through the tree to be thrown back into the sky. Any ideas/solutions? Many thanks! |
