[Solved] Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - kse615 - 03-01-2012 Hello all. I just want to start by saying, I love flight simulator and I love FsPassengers.. It is a FANTASTIC addon.. a solid 5/5 no questions asked. but... of course.. There is that one thing that is REALLY REALLY bothering me. When I go to land a big airplane.. in this example.. a 737.. a tire blows out! Every. Single. Time. There is no avoiding it! I am using ILS so I can assure you my landing is great and im not dropping altitude fast. I'm coming in for a nice stable landing when BOOM a tire blows out. It's getting to the point where i've had so many landings like this that I don't want to play anymore ![]() Why is this happening? What am I doing wrong? If I fly a regional jet like the bombardier will this happen? I just don't know.. I'm going less then 140 knots.... full flaps.. Someone help me please.. Thank you all for reading this.. I really do appreciate it. Re: Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - timtomairways - 03-01-2012 we need your actual touchdown FPM. Company Failur setting, and what ever the flight report sayed was the reason for the blown tire Re: Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - pvjinflight - 03-01-2012 I havent blow tires for long time, even when landing to Toncontin with hard landing they refuse to blow out. Do you use default 737? I dont think that it really has working autoland with proper flare... But yeah we need your landing FPM rate to see if where the problem is. Re: Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - speako11 - 03-01-2012 Lol how long untill this thread is closed? it gets you nowhere asking about tire blowouts, mine was closed just yesterday ![]() Ill just speed up the process ''Practice landing'' ''make sure you land under 300ft/m'' ''there is no patch to fix the bug'' thats your customer service right there.... dont hope for anything more. WHY?!?! - kse615 - 03-01-2012 well i think it's safe to say that I was going down a little too quickly.. i left auto pilot on when landing which made it descend rather quickly.. Thanks for the quick response.. go ahead and delete or lock or whatever you want with the post now.. Basically.. For everyone having trouble.. Right near landing.. turn off auto pilot and auto throttle and try your best to flare up and land with little vertical speed. Re: [Solved] Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - pvjinflight - 07-01-2012 Yeah ive been making pretty much all my jet flights with Fspassengers during last 2 years and never have had problem with tires exploding other than when I have failed myself. Just a short while ago I did a bit hard landing with -350 fpm, and no problem at all. Re: Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - jammer579 - 29-12-2012 There is a way to disable this feature. Simply go into your FSX main directory and then go into FSPassengers then Config and open the file with notepad(run notepad as admin first) and open the file manual_failure.cfg. in that file there is a line : "#FAILURE_TIREBLOWOUT =37" change the 37 to -1. Re: [Solved] Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - Izzydee84 - 24-01-2013 I am having the same problem. I have tried doing an ILS landing at different speeds. Everything goes well until the wheels touch down. I have tried at speeds of 125-140. Anything more than that and it becomes unrealistic. The craft flares, but the program causes, or interprets the landing as a rough one. I love FsPassengers! It's a unique program and there's nothing out on the market like it. But, if the program is not compatible with Windows 7, or if there are upgrades needed to keep it current with changing technology, then the program should be updated. I just bought this and like the gentleman indicated above, I too am ready to quit on this! Right now I feel like I wasted my money. I would like to see this problem resolved somehow. My persistence at the moment is motivated by the fact that the program does enhance the flying experience. But, if I'm not going to enjoy the fruits of my labor, then what's the sense. I can't make money, I keep getting penalized and in order to keep the company alive, I have to sell everything I have. I'm on a downward spiral here gentlemen. This has been going since three months ago. I've tried everything I know to do. Does anyone have a viable, definite solution to this problem? Re: [Solved] Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - gbapache - 24-01-2013 Land at less than 300 FPM with the same airspeed as indicated above. Happy landings. ![]() Re: [Solved] Tires keep blowing out! WHY?!?! - Antonis SX-AKO - 04-02-2013 The best way to learn how to land without blowing up the tires is to start with a cessna and then when you master the landings with this aircraft move to larger airplanes. By using the carear mod that constrains you with the airplane choice at each level ( 1st level = cessna 172 like airplanes) I learned how to land the AN225 with very smooth landing. It takes time to fly the 777 but It is very good on learning how to land smoothly. I hope I helped you |
