TOGA issue finnally solved! (I think) - speako11 - 29-11-2011

OK so I was just about to fall asleep (its 3:00 AM here) not even thinking about FSX or Fs Passengers, when suddenly...

I had a brainwave about a documentary I watched on the A321 and why it was special, It was equipped with Fly-by-Wire electronic interface, which stops
the aircraft from doing things like stalling, here's the quote I found;

''The fly-by-wire system also allows automatic signals sent by the aircraft's computers to perform functions without the pilot's input, as in
systems that automatically help stabilize the aircraft.[1]''

so things like turning off the AP and reducing the throttle just before touch down will initiate a TOGA response (im guessing)

the reason I've put this on here is because I did a google search on the initial problem and people (including me) thought Fs Passengers was some how
activating the TOGA switch,

What does everyone else think?

regards Ryan

sounds like you may have found your issue. i must say im amazed if the default A321 modles that thoue. But then im a boeing pilot so i dont really
touch the airbus.

Yeah after trying to abuse the Airbus with crazy maneuver's I've deffinately come to the conclusion that its Fly-by-wire,

I too was shocked that the default model houses that technology, but then again if it didnt, it wouldnt be the Airbus A321 Wonder

thanks for the reply Tim,

Default model really sucks very badly. Yes it does model stall prevention and does not let you bank or pitch too much, but inside that safe area its
slow as hell to respond, which is not case in real life. In real life you have full control inside flight envelope, and it acts just as quickly as any
Boeing aircraft inside that area. Wilco is good choise for anyone who wants to fly Airbus in fsx or fs9.
