Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - speako11 - 26-11-2011 What the hell lol, Ill write it again, sorry for the blank post, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem regarding the airbus A321, basically whenever Im on approach and disengage AP the co-pilot declares a TOGA and pushes the thrust to 100% and it wont let me decrease the throttle whatsoever, how do I get fs passengers to stop activating TOGA when all im trying to do is take control to land? please help Post Edited ( 11-26-11 18:16 ) Re: No Subject - timtomairways - 26-11-2011 no subjct or words. ![]() Re: No Subject - gbapache - 26-11-2011 Hey Tim, If'll you'll notice, he edited out whatever he wrote. It must have been one of those drunken rages at an ex-girlfriend written at three in the mourning. At eight, when he woke up and read it, he screamed "What have I done!!??" and erased it. ![]() Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - timtomairways - 26-11-2011 quick question are you useing the key command for AP disengage (default is Z). is so have you reassigned the key to anything or are you useing the autopilot built into the aircraft. FSp should not initiate TOGA unless you hit the CTRL-G keys for it or CTRL-SHIFT-G wich ever it is Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - speako11 - 26-11-2011 Hi Tim thanks for the reply, Im using my mouse to disengage AP, the only thing I can think of is, by reducing my throttle to idle and then applying more throttle im somehow setting the TOGA switch in the Airbus, then Fs Passengers takes over and fully activates it, however Im having a much, much, more serious problem, 20 minutes into the flight my FSX crashes and unfortunately this has only started happening since yesterday when I installed Fs Passengers... Its occuring 1 out of every 2 flights, its literally un-playable, as much as I love the software how do I go about uninstalling and getting a refund? I wouldnt usually ask for a refund but £30 is more than what I actually paid for my FSX game, thanks in advance. Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - speako11 - 26-11-2011 By the way I have Just updated the dll file, so I shall be trying more flights to see if its 'useable' now that I should be able to salvage the flight after a system crash, and more info on the TOGA issue, to activate the TOGA button in an Airbus you use the throttle leaver, im guessing Microsoft hid the fact that you are activating the TOGA button everytime you move the throttle leavers. However Fs Passengers will pick up on this action as a fully committed TOGA, even though all you're doing is moving the throttle leaver into the ''TOGA Zone'' Hopefully if there is ever a patch for this it will be addressed, because I actually prefer the mechanical feel to the airbus over boeing, but right now its unplayable with Fs Passengers, I really hope I can find a way to make the whole program work efficiently because it does add another dimension to the game and increases the longevity by miles, I shall try 5 more flights and see how many of them I can finish without a system crash, whats the information about a refund by the way? is it possible? I should imagine I still have general consumer rights and such? thanks for any feedback given, regards Ryan. Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - timtomairways - 27-11-2011 i dont think moveing the throttles in FS will activate TOGA. i belive airbus has a button on the throttles for it. but i dont thnik its modled in the Default A321 you installed the DLL fix so let us know how that works. as for a refund, im not shure how you would get one. one of the moderators can help there. but it may be best to try and find a solution before we do that. your the first ive heard with this problem, but if anyone in the futchure has it. wwe can help Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - speako11 - 27-11-2011 Hi Tim, thanks for the reply, If you do a flight with the default Airbus A321 using ILS landing does it work fine for you? Ive seen a few other people with the same issue using Google search, but I thought Ide ask on here, and I think there must be a ''TOGA Zone'' within the Throttle range, which effectively prepares for TOGA mode... Here's what happened - ''I un-clicked FD, ILS, APP, AT, and AP in that order, moving from left to right across the cockpit, then as soon as I pulled my throttle back into the Idle zone the Co-Pilot announces that I've activated the TOGA switch'' There is no other explanation as too why Fs Passengers is taking over, that I can think of anyway? anyone else have an idea as too why TOGA is activating, when all I am doing is reducing the throttle? as for the refund, I hav'nt had chance to do another flight since I first started experiencing system crashes, I shall update the post later on today after hopefully a few succesfull flights, I hope I dont have to resort to asking for a refund, I wish it would just work lol thanks again, regards Ryan. Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - gbapache - 27-11-2011 My question is this. Why are you puting your engines to idle with a loaded passenger liner on final approach? Your flaps should be deployed, therefore you need power to counter the increased drag. When you turn the otto off try leaving the throttles at about mid-range and adjust accordingly to maintain approach and landing speed. That seems to work oky-doky with me. ![]() Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - speako11 - 27-11-2011 I shall try just turning the AT off and leaving the engines at what the AT set them at untill im on the ground, what I used to do was switch everything off and when I was about 10 feet reduce my throttles to idle and gently flair, which used to slow me down to just over the stall speed and I touched down nice and gently, You might think im a bit of a noob for this but I turn off the weight setting and leave the aircraft at default weight, I downloaded Fs Passengers for the atmospheric effect rather than the extra realism to be honest, I like the realism aspects as in the extra added damage settings and such, however im not intrested in the weight/balance/fuel aspect, I also noticed that Fs passengers changed my realism settings to the very max, I wondered if people who are struggling with a Tire burst landing could just turn this down a bit? would it help? just a thought, anyways thanks for all the input, regards Ryan Re: Airbus A321 problems (Previous blank post) - 969SQN - 27-11-2011 Hello there Ryan I think I talked about this in a previous thread, but I have this problem too, but Im certain that FSP has nothing to do with this TOGA switch on when you 3 miles out or so, as I have done flights without using FSP. My only suggestion is maybe find another freeware aircraft, similar to the A321 e.g.A320, which wouldnt activate the TOGA everytime you disengage AP. The payware Wilco Airbus vol 1 might be another suggestion. Might also be the first officer playing jokes with you on approach and just turns the TOGA on while your not looking lol (No beer for him) ![]() Hope this helps and free beers of me to everyone on this thread ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Post Edited ( 11-27-11 22:13 ) |
