hey guys i want to reinstall fs9 because ive been getting alot of error messages when i do long haul flight. what should i backup in order
not to loose my hours. i know i can just save the folder but does it also have something to do with the modules folder that i have to save
also?

If all you want to do is ensure that your FSP data is preserved, then you can forget about the modules folder.

Save the folder "[Fs2K4]\FsPassengers\Database" ALL your careers,company and pilots are here.
As long as you have your unlock key and this folder you're safe, you can always download
the latest version from here, install again, unlock the demo and copy back all files saved
from database into the "database" folder,
you're back on duty.

Also, I'd like to add that this topic has been discussed dozen's of times. Instead of waiting for a response (and frankly, being quite lazy),
you could simply SEARCH the forums... returns results A LOT quicker!
