Scenery missing at destination - erika - 18-11-2011

I use FSPX (updated FSP FS9 box version) on a W7/64.

At destination airport, the scenery is corrupted (missing buildings or looking transparent) and some aircrafts, too (transparent),
arrows for taxi don't show anymore and, most of the time, markings on the ground are missing.

From the beginning of the flight, the mini report looks extremely pixellised (which was not the case with FS9).

This never happen without FSPX, if I load the aircraft correctly (from the Cessna or not from the Cessna, depending on each
addon recommandation).

If I don't load the aircraft correctly, the problem may also occur without FSPX.

Do I have to buy a full FSPX version ?

It seems to me it's a graphic problem although all my aircrafts gauges are very detailled (not pixellised), with FSX settings set to
1280x1024x32.

Thanks in advance for any help.

FSP should not impact your graphics

Re: Scenery missing at destination - timtomairways - 19-11-2011

some scenery buildings (several default ones) do dissaper at night. they fade in during dawn and fade out at dusk. the building is still there but its
invisible. i think that is something to do with the night textures. ive noticed it on some default building (KSLC terminal) as well as some librery objects.
useally it only happens with FS9/FS8 buildings that were converted for use in FSX.

but like Apache said. FSp does not effect the graphics. id recommend makeing shure your drivers are uptodate.

Re: Scenery missing at destination - erika - 20-11-2011

I'm scared to update the drivers as everything else works fine...
The problem is serious when I repair the current acft after a flight, FSP reinitializes the acft at its initial state and suddenly all
the outside has disappeared or is missing.
Do you confirm it looks like a driver issue or some complex acfts are reluctent to such other addons reset, as good as they are ?
It's true I have had the same problem, reinitializing complex acfts through their own reset (FMC), not through FSP.
Thanks for your answer anyway, I check for updated drivers, but if in the meantime if you could confirm...

Re: Scenery missing at destination - erika - 20-11-2011

I loaded the last drivers for my ATI HD 5800 (v 11.11) and still the same : transparent aircrafts, no taxi arrows, no marking on
ground at destination field.

The only solution is to use the acceleration pack repair each time I use FSPX !!!

Is there special graphic settings for FSPX ? Do you have any other suggestion ?

Re: Scenery missing at destination - timtomairways - 21-11-2011

if its happening when useing the aircrafts builtin rset. then this sounds like its more then FSp

Question
wich aircraft and who made it

Re: Scenery missing at destination - erika - 21-11-2011

You're right : more than FSPX, but also with FSPX !

The aircraft is the Fokker series from Digital Aviation, but not only (in general with any other addon aircraft).

With these aircrafts the Digital Aviation recommandation is to load first the Cessna and then after the Fokker, and that works (for
exemple with the F1 ATR, it's the contrary and it works also. They say it's a question of some .dll to overcome).

The problem remains complete with FSPX and I have no solution for it, then even if I follow these recommandations from DA
or F1.

It's seems to me that FSPX, once launched for boarding, reinitilazed the aircraft but with these wrong .dll, especially after
repair, at the end of a flight.

I fear that it would also occur with default aircraft, although I've never tried.

My question should be : how to prevent FSPX to reinitialize these aircrafts in their wrong configuration ?

Should it be because I have the FSPX updated version only, from FSP box version (FS9) ? Is there a full FSPX box version to
buy ?

I couldn't believe FSPX should be unusable with all addon aircrafts. There must be a setting or file within FSPX to keep the
aircraft in its right configuration.

Really hope you can help...

Re: Scenery missing at destination - timtomairways - 22-11-2011

my adivce, if your doing multiple legs in 1 day dont repair the aicraft until the last flight.

Re: Scenery missing at destination - erika - 22-11-2011

I've reinstalled FSPX as administrator, because I noticed yesterday that its cfg file kept simobjects from a previous Ultimate
Traffic 2, desinstalled now for My Traffic X.

At destination, no problem at all. All the installations and the aircrafts were visible and complete !

Was it that FSPX searched for aircrafts, missing now with my new traffic tool ? I hope so.

I've not dared to repair the Fokker, yet, too happy of this good news, I'll do it later.

I'll let you know, but I have regained much hope now.

Thanks for help that pushed me to take the problem seriously.
