CTD on flight start - psyonic - 14-09-2011
Hello all.
I wanted to try out FsPassengers because, frankly, it looks amazing.
My problem is that each and every time I start an FSP flight, my FSX crashes to desktop. Aparently the module g2d.dl is to blame,
according to the report. The crash occurs a second after the stewardess starts giving the welcome aboard message.
I tried replacing the uiautomationcore.dll file as per instructions but the CTD still happens. I have also tried reinstalling FSP. I would love
to know if there is something else I can try, here are my specs:
I use FSX deluxe, SP2.
I have Windows 7, 64 bits
I have 8 gigs RAM, an i7 CPU at 1.87 and an NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M as a videi card with 4 gigs.

Hi, welcome to the forum
I had a couple of crashes initially but it was due to the uiautomationcore.dll and not g2d.dll. I just copied the one in the C:Windows folder and
pasted it into the main FSX folder...in my case D:FSX\ That fixed the crash issue. However, I've not had any crashes while trying to start a FsPX
flight. The g2d.dll might be a more complex issue that may not have anything to do with FsPX. I've had Win 7 64 for about a month and a half now, so
I'm fairly new to it and haven't experienced any major issues yet.
I'm assuming you are using the demo version of FsPX?

Yes, it is the demo. I have tried with different planes on the 3 airfields the demo allows, and the result is the same. My FSX installation is
pretty stable otherwise (newly formated disk, no other addons, nothing running in the background, etc.) so I am at a loss on what to do
next. Bummer.

Have you added any sceneries?

No, no sceneries or addons other than FSP.

Video card drivers up to date? You say newly formatted disk. Have you downloaded all the Microsoft.com updates?
