Flash Effect - bigbadbob - 12-04-2011 Hi All, This subject has probably already been raised but I can't find it. Anytime I program my aircraft when FS Passenger is running I get flashes. Let me explain: I load my FMC and each key causes a flash and then pauses the program. If I, say, use 5 mins to load passengers and have loaded all my aircraft parameters I sit and wait for the program to complete. Once I use my mouse to ask for taxi instractions or use any other pop-up, I get a flash and then pauses the program. Darn irritating when using an airplane like Queen of the Sky. Then while flying again after sometime, I use the mouse for a pop-up and the whole flight just crashes. I don't get this if I don't use FS Passenger. I'm using an Intel quad 2.8 with 7 Ram and GForce 9800GT with 1 GB graphic card so the hardware should not an issue. Can anyone help. Thanks Rob Re: Flash Effect - whiskey-zulu - 12-04-2011 What OS are you using and are you using in full screen or windowed mode? Re: Flash Effect - bigbadbob - 13-04-2011 Sorry, I just realised I forgot to write that in: Windows 7 Pro 64 bits. I'm using a widescreen windowed mode. Please note: I'm working out of Africa so we have to take time zone into consideration - Sorry about that.. Cheers Rob Re: Flash Effect - whiskey-zulu - 13-04-2011 Using windowed mode will often cause problems with pausing in FSX, especially if the program thinks you're moving to a task outside of FSX - there is an option in FSX main settings that will disable the pause function on task switch. Re: Flash Effect - bigbadbob - 13-04-2011 Looks like on full screen the problem is a thing of the pass - many thanks. Just out of curiousity, what is the option in FSX main settings that will disable the pause setting? Cheers Rob Re: Flash Effect - whiskey-zulu - 13-04-2011 The option that says Pause on task switch needs to be unchecked; been years since I had to use it, so not sure where exactly it is located in the options. Re: Flash Effect - bigbadbob - 13-04-2011 Ok, thanks anyway - you've been a great help. Cheers Rob |
