Traffic/Weather delays!! - MrBuilder - 26-08-2005
Okay! I searched the forums for this topic but no one had posted so I may as well be the first.
Let's say you have Traffic 2005 and/or you have bad weather, will they be an option where you can inform your passengers for the delay
whether your taking-off or landing. Or whether there is ground traffic? Or there is bad weather?? What about flight diversion due to bad
weather??
This might be something to think about.

Simple Search would have revealed them.
AFAIK, Dan is looking into it. The idea would be to reduce the penalty but keep the dissapointment of the passengers because of missed transfers etc.

Just keep in mind the two typs of delays. There are ones we can help, and ones we can't. Wx/Traffic I can't do anything about, why should I recive
penalty points?

Because your pax will miss their correspondance and because you told them that you'd be arriving at this time. If you flightplan your flight
reasonably well, you will very rarely be dinged because of traffic. The penalty doesn't kick in until your planned arrival time is exceeded by
12% of your total flight time.

You wouldn't receive any PILOT PENALTY points (the ones that matter for promotions, etc.). You'd receive customer satisfaction
penalties. The PAX don't really care if it's not your fault that the flight is delayed 2 hours. They're still going to be pissed!
