I know this might sound stupid, but how do you buy another plane? I'm a noob as you can see. What do I do in "Company Manager"? I know there's a "Buy
Current Plane" option, but can you buy other planes "on the market"? How?

Welcome aboard
Not a stupid question at all. Have you gone through the setup in the FsP menu within flight sim to make all of the particular settings you want? Have
you created a company first? If so, is it economic mode where you can buy and sell airplanes or is your company in some other mode like pilot progression?
Select an aircraft you want to fly and load it in the sim. Once you've done this, go to the company manager and try to buy the aircraft. If you have
enough money, you should be able to buy it.

But sometimes you have to wait, because the offered
planes are, at the moment, you want to buy, too old or
in a bad condition...
