There is a lot of hints on the net but unfortunately I did not manage to get it fixed. I installed vcredist for x86 and x86_64 platforms - in case of x86 also vcredist2005 - no change. When I look into the SxS folder mentioned entry does not exist. Unfortunately my win-trickery ends here (Unix boy - I've got windows just to play FSX ![]() There were some instructions on "merge module", but for me that sounded like reinventing the wheel + it required a REINSTALL of mentioned software (I am very much looking forward to that... :S). All in all - this is a typical DLL-hell example. If somebody manages to solve it - please post your instructions. Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - Joeflyer - 09-01-2011 Mic, did you see this thread? Worked for this person: http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7980&pid=74074#pid74074 Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - micdobro - 10-01-2011 Thanks Joe for the tip - but it seems these steps are valid for Windows XP only. SDK and Service Packs contain a vcredist which is properly installed in the Windows XP world... it somehow fails to register version 8.0.50727.762 in the SxS folder of Windows 7 64bit (according to some windows wizards "its' supposed to redirect the lib calls"). Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - Joeflyer - 10-01-2011 Ahh, ok. What you just explained is foreign to me. Can anyone else provide some insight on this? Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - DanSteph - 10-01-2011 Can you try this one and let me know ? http://orbiter.dansteph.com/AircraftBrowserX.zip Unzip and replace the one you have Also anyone can test it and report, if it work it will be the new version in the updated FsPx. Much thanks for feedback. Dan Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - Capt. Wotan - 10-01-2011 Quote:DanSteph wrote: Works fine in Fspax Using Windows 7 64. Doesn't seem different. Glad you are back Dan, was getting worried that support was no more. Please let me know if i can help. Thanks Ian Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - micdobro - 10-01-2011 Thanks for your support Dan. Executable downloaded, replaced and works here under Win7 64. Re: Cant open AircraftBrowser X - DanSteph - 11-01-2011 Quote:micdobro wrote: Great news, much thanks for your feedback.
