Real Load Times - drgullen - 29-10-2010

Hi,

Newbie here and I think FSP is great. I have a question about real load times.

When I choose to load passengers in real time, the upper limit seems to be 20 minutes. I like trying to be as realistic as possible with my flights,
so when flying an Airbus for example, there's no way you'd get everyone on board and ready to go in 20 minutes.

The drop-down is editable and I've tried typing in my own value, like 45 minutes for example, but once my passengers start to board, the countdown
says 273 minutes!

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change these values. I didn't see it in any of the setup or config files, so I'm betting its within the db and
would require a script to change it.

I think more realistic load times would be 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes for an A380, for example.

Can anyone help me with this change? I've searched the forums as well and apologize if this is out there already, but I didn't see any post relating
to it. Thanks!

Help me understand this. You want to sit in front of your screen for 45 minutes listening to the cattle board your plane? It's called "flight"
simulator, not "tarmac" simulator.

Wow, my first post here and I've been slammed already.

All I was asking was if it was possible to change those time values, that's all. Of course I wouldn't be sitting here staring at the screen...there's
plenty of other computer and non-computer things to do during that time. The point was to make it more realistic and you can't load a large jetliner
in 20 minutes. Those values were put in there for a reason...to add realism to the flight experience and I was just wondering if there was a way to
alter them.

Heres alittel trick

Set it for 20min, then open the door, wait till 1 or 2 passengers get on board. then shut the door, leave it shut and open it when ever there
is only 20min left till Off-Block.

the boarding sound will continue to play, and so will the music you selected. This will atleast kinda simulate the boarding process for
larger aircraft.

dont worry about apache, one of the moderators will show up and yell "Heel" and he will calm down. He gets cranky when he hasent had
his nap

Re: Real Load Times - Turbine777 - 30-10-2010

I actually wish there were a way as well. It's not a bad idea really considering to correctly start some of the more advanced aircraft from
cold and dark it can take an hour or close to it. When I do a flight in the MD-11 with several waypoints it will take longer, since I like to enter
my airways, and winds etc.
I looked through all the readable files and didn't notice anything you could change so must be coded, or I missed it. I normally wait til I'm
finished the FMC and fueling, then hit it for random. That way I can either stretch it out for the 20 to finish up, or I'll have to rush like mad to
start taxing before my passengers start rushing the CP! Wink

Does that make your trick a simulation of a simulation?
