Re: Drop Down Menu Error - Paul Lee - 05-07-2010 Hi Many Thanks for the quick response I have just purchased the PC and am not in a position to spend more in upgrading to 64 bit (wish I could) Are there any other things I might try? Best Regards Paul E Lee Re: Drop Down Menu Error - whiskey-zulu - 05-07-2010 I'm not an expert on Vista or Win 7 - am still in the good old days of XP - but to my knowledge upgrading to 64bit or using FSX while using FSP in windowed mode are the only two solutions. Re: Drop Down Menu Error - iflyfsx - 05-07-2010 If you are using the 32-bit version of Windows, the dll is not the problem. That problem came up because the 64-bit dll of Windows causes a crash. This is solved by replacing it with the 32-bit version of the dll. You shouldn't have to buy a different version of Windows, either. The problem here is that Windows doesn't give you enough information to know what could be causing the crash. Have you tried running FSX with different compatibility options? And always as admin, of course. |
