Got a weird problem repairing engines - Swoop - 10-05-2010 New one this, only just started manifesting itself with the latest company I've started. The only differences between this and previous companies started in economic mode is that I have full career mode switched on and failures set at 40% (high I know, but that's how I like it). The issue is that whenever a get a failure that results in me having to repair an engine (or both), after the repair, if I do a "restore last position" then no matter what I can't start the engine(s) that have been repaired. The only workaround I've found is if I don't do a restore and just spawn the aircraft at the same airfield I landed at, then everything is fine and I can complete an FSP flight. Further "restore last positions" work fine, including after having shutdown engines, switched off all battery / avionics, etc. This has happened now in 3 separate aircraft. Nothing I've found makes a difference, restoring immediately after a repair without exiting flight, exiting FSX completely, rebooting the PC, nothing. Didn't happen with previous companies though. Any ideas? Re: Got a weird problem repairing engines - gbapache - 10-05-2010 I sounds to me that your computer is infected with penguins. ![]() Re: Got a weird problem repairing engines - Swoop - 11-05-2010 Any suggestions other than penguins? Re: Got a weird problem repairing engines - Joeflyer - 13-05-2010 Seems like there's a big disconnect between the restoring function, which I have never used, and FSX. Another quirk in the program that Dan needs to possibly chime in about. Let's see if I can get him to respond. |
