FO Speed Brake Call Outs - mikeshr2 - 05-05-2010

I see an option in sound editor for a fo to call "Speed Brake Set", "Speed Brake Armed", "Speed brake released". Right clicking plays a
properly recorded announcement, but I have never heard this call outs made in flight. What is the deal with those and how do I activate
them? I've had quite a few near stalls and crashes when I accidentally set a full speed brake instead of arming it for landing and not
realizing for a while what I have done. This call-out would be very usefull. Why is it not working?

You turned off your gpws. Go to FSpasenger setup

It's not just on, it's forced fspx on to override/complement built in gpws on large a/c. I clearly hear 2500-10' ctdwn, minimums of fspx, as
well as 'too-low terrain' 'pull up' of stock a/c. but never heard a fo call speed brake setting. Are you saying it's working for you? if so - in
what a/c?

n.m didn't catch the sarcasm, anyway some semi-official word of what those call outs are there for and is there any way to hack them to activate? would be very nice. I mean the program has a built in logic to figure out when and when not announce 'we are about to take off' when you stop playing music. How much more complicated the logic to call out speed brake setting can be?
