What Does That Mean......... - Air France - 21-08-2005 What does this mean on the PILOT DATASHEET AND LOAD MANIFEST its like (CG 7%)???? Re: What Does That Mean......... - SWAFO - 21-08-2005 That's the location of your center of gravity. Re: What Does That Mean......... - Air France - 21-08-2005 i don't understand please help????? Re: What Does That Mean......... - jboweruk - 21-08-2005 It's basically the offset from your CofG. I'm not sure how to read it as a percentage but when you are loading you have a little arrow on the pic of your plane. If that arrow turns to orange the plane will be very hard to handle. The CofG is basically the point around which your aircraft designer intended it to reach equilibrium; ie handle at it's best. So the CofG needs to be as close to that point as poss and preferably just in front of it. You'll notice quite often especially with Cessna's etc. it's hard to achieve a decent CG But at least try to keep the arrow black; that way at least the aircraft will handle fairly well. Again the Cessna's get a little twitchy if the CG is near the rear so avoid any cargo in a 172/182 etc. Re: What Does That Mean......... - SWAFO - 21-08-2005 It should either be a negative or postive percent, and simply means the percent off center. |
