Overspeed below 10,000'. - DmytriE - 14-03-2010 I am a c2 pilot because I have restarted as I forgot to backup my database folder. On my flight from 87K to KASG I got this error: "All aircraft are prohibited to exceed 250kts below 10000 ft AMSL; your speed was 369 kts above this limit Our company received a fine of $4,066. (-1108)" I understand that their are specific regulations below 10,000 feet however, I never exceeded 250kts. How can I correct this error in the data file or am I S.O.L? Re: Overspeed below 10,000'. - crowebird - 14-03-2010 lol, must be a bug, as that would assume you were going 619kts below 10k feet... if you recorded the flight you are sol. Re: Overspeed below 10,000'. - iflyfsx - 14-03-2010 That's not overspeed. Overspeed is going faster than it's safe to fly the aircraft. Exceeding 250 kt below 10000ft without permission from ATC is just a safety regulation. Sometimes the weather changes drastically (software bug) and your speed will go up or down like crazy. That can cause the penalty. Don't know what else could cause it. You can't edit the database. Re: Overspeed below 10,000'. - DmytriE - 14-03-2010 Thanks for the help and the clarification of over speed and safety regulation. |
