[Solved]Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 12-11-2009

Hi! I just installed the demo for FsPassengers X. I tried to start FSX but an error message comes up stating:
Quote:Your version of FsX is
outdated (RTM), you must have at least SP1 or SP2 installed - aborting FsPassenger-FsPassenger will now exit
I have both SP1 and SP2 installed but this message still appears. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Service Packs - Recon - 12-11-2009

Try to re-install again.

Re: Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 12-11-2009

I did but I still receive the same message.

Possibly this thread may shed some light on your issue:

I hope it's not a torrent...

Re: Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 12-11-2009

My FSX is definitely not a torrent. I have a CD and bought it lol! I don't understand what the problem is. It just gives me that error message
even when I have the updates. I would really love to try out this software.

Re: Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 13-11-2009

Is there anyone willing to help me? Not to sound pushy but I would really like some product support. Help

Re: Service Packs - Recon - 13-11-2009

Well it is a strange thing then.
FsP says you must have SP1 or SP2 running, and you are saying you have that.......
What is your OS?
Vista ??

Re: Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 13-11-2009

I have XP. If I look in the control panel and under all programs, there is "Microsoft Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2." I just don't understand why it is not working.

Did you check this and tried it?

Re: Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 13-11-2009

I have already seen the FAQ page. I am currently downloading the service pack and will try reinstalling it. I don't know if that will help. I will
post the results.

Re: Service Packs - SWVA8151 - 13-11-2009

When I run it, it gives me only one option to remove it so it has to be installed properly.

Why if it is already installed?

I think that he is saying that you should uninstall the SP and try to re-install; just in case the last installation didn't go on well, or there was
an issue.
Within your fspassengers directory there is an install log called FSPXInstall.log, what are the contents?

Re: Service Packs - Capt. Wotan - 13-11-2009

Also the contents of log.txt...might be helpful
