[Solved]Cannot load FsPassengers.dll - hamlets_father - 03-11-2009
I just installed Windows Server 2008 on my PC. Afterwards I installed FS9 and FSP. Unfortunately FS9 shows an
error message while displaying the
fs9-splash-screen: "Flight Simulator could not load any Aircraft or Software. You can use Flight Simulator, although
this aircraft or software is
deactivated. File: FsPassengers.dll" (out of my mind). When I press the OK-Button, I can normally use FS9 but FSP
is deactivated just like the error
message predicted.
I scanned the Support-Forum for solutions and even found a few suggestions, but none of them came to a
satisfying end.
The following things I have already tried:
Running FS9 as administrator
Running FS9 with Windows XP compatibility mode (and of course as administrator)
Reinstalling FSP
Redownloading FSP
Running FSP-Installer as administrator
My System:
Windows Server 2008
AMD X2 CPU
Geforce 7600 GPU
2 GB RAM
FS9.1 (german version)

Windows server,eh? Not familiar with that application at all. Can anyone else chime in?

Well, Server 2008 is something like Vista. They spend a year more time developing and of course added some more options for server use.
Until now, all applications I tried to start worked fine. FS9 and a few addons run as well.
It is just this FSP-Addon that refuses to start. By the way: no errors occured while installing FSP.

It won't be due to the OS in question, could you possibly upload a screenshot of the error in question or email one to dominic {[at]} dominic - uk

This is the error message:
Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this software or aircraft will be
disabled.

I think I solved the problem. It seems that Windows Server 2008 does not have the gameux.dll which is needed by many games or services. I tried this
http://www.win2008workstation.com/win2008/missing-gameuxdll out, restarted my system and now FSP is working fine.
