Free Cruising - Lee365 - 06-09-2009

I'm thinking about getting FSPassengers X but on most of the videos I've seen, most flights last about one hour. Does anyone know if you
have to play the whole flight or you can skip the cruising?Huh

Oops! Wall I just found out about time acceleration! Is there any other way than that?

Re: Free Cruising - Oliver - 06-09-2009

You can use time aceleration (2X, 4X and so on..), but in that case you will lost some porcentage of your pilot points of that flight.. If you
mean that you move your airplane on the FS map, that is not allowed in FSPassengers.

You have to do the whole flight. Otherwise theres no point?

Yes, using time aceleration or without using it.

If your lookin for max realism then theres no point in using time accel.

Re: Free Cruising - Powerke - 06-09-2009

You dont have to make long flights....
I normally do short flights ....20-30 mins.
Had a steady patern i flew .....from EBAW (Deurne-Belgium) to EBOS (Ostend-Belgium) to EHRD (Rotterdam-Netherlands) and back to
EBAW.
Nice short flights......did them in my awesome Saab 340.

Well ...you will find a route somewhere that fits you .....as long as the flight is longer than 10 mins your pax will be happy.
If ya dont blow a tire ^^

Keep in mind also that you don't have to sit there in front of the screen for the whole flight. Manually feed and water your cattle and
perhaps put on a movie for anything over 2.5hrs , then go about your dailly chores and check in every once in a while.

Thanks Smile that really helped! Gift

I like to do long flights as well as short. Generally I just don't have the time to sit for a long flight, so I often go ahead and use time
acceleration. You can disable the -30% points penalty for using it, but I don't; my pilots don't need the points. Even when I'm not using time accel
on a flight, I'll often just do it for a few seconds, specifically so I do get the penalty. This is to keep my pilot's point levels from growing too
fast so as not to run into the dreaded C23 bug on FSP for FS9.

However you decide to do it, enjoy!
