Problem with FSPX and FSX - MBT - 04-09-2009 Hey Everyone, Before anyone starts yelling at me, I have looked at the FAQ but it didn't help. I have FSX for Vista, and I decided to download the FSPX demo. I went through the install perfectly fine but when I start up FSX it comes to the load screen and I hear the little FSP voice intro but then nothing happens. My Flightsim doesn't get to the start screen, I have updated my FSX with both SP1 and SP2. Ive tried running FS in Admin as well, but the same thing happens. Any help is greatly apperciated. Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - jopomo - 06-09-2009 I have the same problem with Windows XP I have tried to deload fsx acceleration same thing I have bought FS passenger for FS2004 and it is fine with FS2004 but now I have FSX and I cannot use FS passenger for FSX TKs for help Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - jopomo - 07-09-2009 Any body can reply ???? This problem is the same with nly SP1 ad SP2 and the demo version of FSpassengers for FSX It is sure I do not buy the complete version if is not working Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - Jacko97 - 07-09-2009 same problem here Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - MBT - 07-09-2009 Quote:jopomo wrote: Yeah I had FSP for FS2004 and it was perfectly fine. I think there might be something up with the code for FSPX, I've sent a Email to the FSP people. So, hopefully a solution will arise shortly. Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - cjam076 - 19-09-2009 I'm also having this problem in XP, with SP1 and SP2 installed, with FSX simply not starting up/progressing past the loading screen. Does anyone know of a solution? No Subject - Qantas 737 pilot - 27-09-2009 Post Edited ( 04-30-11 02:25 ) Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - cjam076 - 29-09-2009 No, nothing. I see the default FSX loading screen ...and then nothing happens. I don't get the FSPX screen, I don't get the standard FSX home screen...in fact the only way I can load up FSX at all is to uninstall FSPX completely. Also, unlike the OP in this thread, I don't even hear the intro voice usually - I did hear it the first time I tried starting FSX, but not on any of my subsequent attempts. This is as far as I can ever get into FSX with FSPX installed ![]() I can try staring at it for hours on end and using my imagination, but somehow its not the same... Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - Drumcode - 29-09-2009 heh, 25 days since the first post and still no help for this guy... how typical... notice that not even a single "genius" moderator even bothered to post anything in this thread... You'll probably never get an answer on this. Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - Joeflyer - 29-09-2009 Drumcode, aside from offering sarcastic comments, what are you offering in the way of a possible solution? Fact is, the only one solution I know about is to uninstall FsPX and reinstall it if someone is having problems with the program or search the forum for other possible solutions. Since I don't have Vista, I cannot comment on that part of the OS. XP is all I use and have never experienced some of the problems people have. As far as "genious" moderators go, we aren't here to solve every PC issue being presented...even with FsPX. Although we try our best to resolve some of the issues, we certainly can't solve them all. That's why we rely largely on Dan's input as well as other members of the forum to chime in on the various issues that arise. I would suggest to you, Drumcode, that if you have a bigger issue with any one of us "genious" moderators, how about contacting us directly? We'll be more than happy to accomodate your grievances. I downloaded the demo to try it out as well. I have installed and uninstalled the thing three times now, and have yet to see a damn FSPX window OR tool bar. I am an XP user with SP2, I am running the traffic add-on smooth as silk never one issue. If even the demo doesn't work why the hell would I wanna buy this????? And you have the good conscious of mind to charge for it... ![]() Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - iflyfsx - 21-11-2009 Thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of other users with XP/Vista/7 are running FSPX just fine. How can you conclude FSPX is the cause of problem, then? You want a programmer to show up at your house and spend hours or days tracking down the problem? NO ONE offers that kind of support. Windows is made by one of the richest company in the world, and it's still full of bugs. They have to keep patching it. So, maybe your expectations are not realistic. Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - Thommy78 - 24-11-2009 Just a thought, in the first window of FSPX it wants you to check a box to show it again or not for the next start. Is it possible, that this FSPX-window is not the active window (thats why you can hear the sound but the window hides behind the FSX-Screen). Maybee try ALT-TAB to switch the windows to make it active, check the box and hopefully everything is all right. Sometimes it is the user in front of the screen and sometimes not... who knows?? Best Tom Sorry for my bad english Re: Problem with FSPX and FSX - gbapache - 24-11-2009 Quote:hausser wrote: I often wonder, under what rock do you call home? lots of people are able to download a demo, pay for it, then use it for years. you're bitching because you can't get the demo to work in a day. Dumda**. But then maybe I'm just be'n grumpy. |
