Landing next to the runway - Ulic - 04-08-2009

So here's my problem:

I am using FS2004 and have installed the NL2000 scenery. A few days ago I have bought FsPassengers and did some testflights in the Netherlands. I used
a few different aircraft and attempted to fly to multiple airports in the Netherlands. On every landing however I get scared passengers because they
seem to think I landed next to the runway. So I searched these forums and the FAQ item about this error:
http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=faq&ver=fs9&question=48

I checked item 1, and the addon comes with an AFCAD file.

So I followed item 2, downloaded the AFCAD editor and had a look at the NL2000 AFCAD file. I am a total newbie with AFCAD files but as far as I can
determine the runways seem to be properly defined as asphalt or concrete.

Ofcourse I can disable the runway check as suggested in item 3 in the FAQ but if possible I would prefer a "real" solution. So is there anyone here
who can give me some tips or suggestions what I can do to determine the problem and find a solution?

Thanks in advance

Could it be possible that you have duplicate AFCADS? Have you use ScanAFD(I think that's correct) to scan all of the AFCADS for each
default and addon airport to see if you may have some conflicts there? If you have an AI program like Ultimate Traffic, it may place it's own
AFCAD in there. Just a thought...

Re: Landing next to the runway - Ulic - 05-08-2009

Thanks for your suggestion Joeflyer. I have downloaded the scan program and I tried it. at first EHAM didn't even show up. Apparently it only scans
the Addon Scenery directory and I installed the NL2000 addon outside of it. However I have tried copying the AFCAD file into the Addon Scenery/scenery
directory and then EHAM showed up in the scan program. No luck with FsPassengers however, it still thinks I'm landing off the runway. Any other
suggestions?

on the contrary, it will scan all default airports, too. You should try that as well. You will have to select the default airports.

Re: Landing next to the runway - Tracker801 - 05-08-2009

Im figuring youre using NL2000 v2.92
Last thing I recall of that version was that it had an update available for the EHAM AFCAD as FSP wasnt the only one having problems
there, AI Traffic addons had the same problem. If it aint available in their download section anymore, try sending a PM to Marc Arendsen of
NL2000.

V3 does not have the problem anymore as it uses the new AFCAD

Re: Landing next to the runway - Ulic - 05-08-2009

Joeflyer: I must be doing something wrong. All airports I can find with the ScanAFD program are addon ADCAD's in the Addon Scenery folder. So it only
listed the AFCAD file for NL2000 after I copied it to that directory. It doesn't list the default AFCAD or any other AFCAD files for EHAM.

Tracker801: I am using NL2000 v3. The AFCAD file is named eham_afcad_v3_3.bgl

Thanks for the help so far guys. I hope we will be able to solve this.
