Transferring a created Pilot to a new company - pandor - 27-04-2009
Hello,
I've just created a new company and would like to transfer the pilot of my old company to my new company. When I attempt this, I get the
message, " Error file with that name already exist, unable to transfer!" My new company has no pilots and I've reached F/O status so I do
not want to start all over! Any help would be appreciated.

Try a different company see if that works..

I've tried that. I transferred the pilot to World Travel Airlines and also from World Travel to Pacifica Airlines. No problems with those but the
problem lies in tranferring him to my created company.

And there is no pilot working there already with that name?
That error usually only comes up if you tried to for example transfer:
"Sky" from SkyAirWorld LTD PTY
to
SkyAirWorld Cargo when a "Sky" is already in the company

My old company name was Emirates. I deleted it then also called the new company Emirates. I'm still unsure how to resolve the problem.

And you made sure there was no pilot in the company?
Other way to possibly resolve it is a re-install (back up your files etc)

There was no pilot in my new company. Thereafter, I created a new pilot for my company and then retried. Did not work. Which files would
I have to back up if I was to reinstall?
