Max descent rates - Angel Airways - 20-04-2009
Hi
Can someone tell me what is the max descent rate in ft/min that you can descent at without scaring the cr@p
out of your paxs. Also is there any way to adjust this in FsPasssengers

Decent rate depends on your airframe that you are flying. Try to be around 500fpm on average though. But you better flare before
touchdown.

With big airliners it is usual to go down up to 3000 fpm. I have a rule - as long as you don't accelerate, my descent rate's ok. Although, I would
never go beyond 3500 fpm with my A321 - that would scare me, too :D

well once when ATC was playing up, I realised i was 9,000ft and the runway was 4 miles, so i slowed down to 180kts and did -4500ft/
mn. I don't think its how many ft/ mn you do, i think its on the angle of attitude.
