A quick question about delayed vectors - mspencer - 10-02-2009 I'm flying using Radar Contact v4 and FSPaxX, and every once in a while I end up getting screwed by traffic saturation (The approach controller shuts down arrivals due to too many birds coming in for approach) and I end up in 25 - 50 minute holding patterns. At that point, should I just take the hit for late arrival, or could I cancel destination? I'm not sure what the appropriate move here is. Is cancel destination just for emergencies and weather? Re: A quick question about delayed vectors - SkyAirWorld - 10-02-2009 As Long as your going to still land at the scheduled airport... Do not cancel the destination. If you would rather go and land somewhere else, then cancel the destination. Re: A quick question about delayed vectors - Joeflyer - 10-02-2009 Well, it's totally up to you whether or not you want to take penalty points for arriving late...that is if you set a certain time of arrival at dest. Or, you can just cancel the dest. in order to not get dinged on the penalty points. This is definitely a personal choice. |
