Cant understand ticket prices - tomarild - 06-02-2009

Hi!

I have just started to use FS Passengers X, and I have to say its awesome. Cant wait to launch my own VA and start exporting data.

But there is one thing I really dont know anything about. The pricing. How are they calculated. How are the ticket prices caculated? Is it like
x $ for x nm flown, or what? If i go to the company manager and set the economy price to f.ex 1,350$ - what does it mean? It cant be 1,350
$ per trip?!?

Can anybody help?

(And an other question: Is it possible to choose the numbers of passengers I want for a flight?)

Best regards,
Tom

dunno how to calculate the price of the ticket, but yes, you can choose the number of the passengers. / load current aircraft/ then it will
shows you how many passengers are waiting at the gates/ ok / and on the right side you can choose how many passengers you wanna
fly with

You can modify your prices, but in reali life,

Ticket prices are worked out upon,

Demand (How many people want to fly that route, and how many people want to fly with you)
Employess Pay (Pilots, CC, Engineers, Managment etc)
Fuel Costs (How much will it cost to fly the aircraft)
Flying Costs (Landing fees, ATC fees parking fees etc)
Competition (Lower fares to compete, not really an issue in FSP though)

I have seen the slider bar, but I thought I would have to take them all with me. I thought that I would get some sort of penalty If I left any of
the passengers at the gate.

Thanks SkyAir! Would have been great If I could set the ticket prices manually though. But maybe its only me who needs to manage
those sort of things in my VA?!

But what does the prices in the "Company manager" show? As I wrote in my first post here, If I set the slider in economy to $1,350 - Is
this the price that each passenger will have to pay? If that is the case - It is really expensive Smile

Re: Cant understand ticket prices - SkyAirWorld - 07-02-2009

Yes, that would be the price per passenger......

Quite expensive, but I'm sure your worth it, or perhaps its a flight from LA to Sydney? who knows Wink

Made some calculations today - apparently the price (for regular A to B flight) is per 1000 km. (nm * 1.852).
