[Solved] FSPX EndFlight problems - Scudmaster - 05-02-2009
hello
i fly with fspx few weeks without anything of trouble....so now i have a problem with *end-flight*
im landing..taxi to the gate..and the paxes going out of the plan...everything is ok, but if i click the *end-flight*
button...the end-flight-report does
not want to come..black fsx-screen..after 20 sec. the fsx crash....
im wondering because fspx it works few weeks so nicely..great program

Could you pop your computer specs up please, your computer might not be able to handle all the programs etc

flightsim works fine..
fspx works fine from 23.12.08 to 01.02.09
i changed nothing ;-( i am helpless .....

It could be a conflict with your graphic settings. There is an issue with full screen and the report and the FSPX documentation details this and what
to do.
I too have random crashes when going to something like control panel or changing planes in full screen. My habit is to always hit ALT+ENTER to go to
windowed mode before ending a flight. Never had a crash doing this. In fact, I always start FSX in windowed mode and then switch to full mode once
everything is setup - also makes it easier to do the flight planning on another program.

ok...i will try it with going in the windowed mode before ending a flight.
i have two screens for flying
one for fsx and the another one for flightplanning(fsxcommander) and flightinstruments.best regards

I have the same problem however for me its a dice roll, sometimes just before ending the flight I try and switch to windowed mode and it crashes right
there. Sometimes I can switch and end the flight with no problems. This only happens when FXPX is running im not really sure what to try now. Sure
puts a damper on a nice perfect flight when the thing crashes and you lose everything. More money thrown away, irritating for certain...

i have the problems with the pmdg md-11 i think...all other airplanes(leveld767,maddog-md82) works starkly fine in windowed or fullscreen mode

Last night I flew a nice 3:30 flight form SAN to ORD using my Flight 1 Super 80 ASX RCV4 and ASX great real weather as was good. I landed right on
time, taxied to the gate went to windowed mode to end the flight......... BAM!!!!!!! Black screen and it was all over. I swear I almost threw my
beer at the screen I was so mad...

I've always just flown in windowed mode. I know there have been issues when running in full screen so I've stayed away from it and
haven't had any probs.
I've gotten so mad at one of my monitors before that I fantasized about beating the crap out of it with a baseball bat but to actually throw
your beer at it...man you really must have been angry.....

Yeah it was an absolute nauseating and horrifying moment to think I was about to waste a good beer on crappy performance.. I really hate flying in
windowed mode it just seems to take out a lot of the realism for me.. I made sure the my screen resolution was the same setting as in in FSX that did
seem to help but it has happened a few more times (beer was empty)
Hopefully someone will find a cure...Its hard for me to grasp the notion that in1969 we could put a man on the moon but in 2009 we cant even figure why software crashes and we cant even get a *%$#*& cell phone to work right... I
do enjoy FSPX..... when it works right.
Im done with my rant now back to flying....
