"You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - Mole - 26-12-2008 Overall Flight Result: Horrible Pilot Bonus points: 80 points You made a very nice landing. (+50) You landed at the scheduled airport. (+30) Pilot's Penalty points: -2224 points You made a serious pilot error that resulted in a critical problem. (-800) Landing so roughly that a tire explode is not a good idea. (-300) You had a serious failure aboard and you forgot to call a mayday. (-350) Commercial aircraft are not designed for aerobatics, you created excess G-forces. (-400) You have exceeded the flap speed limit by 37.49kts (-374) Is it possible to do a very nice landing with a plain and also blow a tire? Maybe i have to change the settings, it is default setting. Somebody who have the same experience? Mole Post Edited ( 12-26-08 04:52 ) Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - baoding - 26-12-2008 well....blow a tire could be one of the failures, in real life, if you didn't change the tire frequent enough, they might blow on landings. Your never know..... and what's with the serious failure? what failed? Re: - Mole - 26-12-2008 Quote:baoding wrote: Well...Flaps overspeed ![]() AND Passenger Opinion: Terror and grief. I believe Dan programmed this in as one of the random failures along with making a hard landing. There is such thing as a defective or worn tire. Is it possible to set the limit a little bit higher?. I will try to make better landings, but my first flights are not perfect, so maybe the landings are a little bit too hard. But after a perfect one or two hour flight, it is not so funny if i touch down a little bit to hard and i get many minus points, if you understand? Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - JeffMcBride - 28-12-2008 It sounds like your glide path angle may be a bit too steep Mole. Try coming in a little lower if possible and at less of an angle. You should see an improvement. Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - bechhohen - 29-12-2008 What was your sinkrate and gear speed? I also had a tire explosion while my gear speed wast too fast? Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - baoding - 29-12-2008 i remember i had a tire explode at -450ft/min vSpeed... but now i can normally control it within -300ft/min, and most of the time i get "perfect" as the end flight mark. Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - SkyAirWorld - 30-12-2008 What are you flying? and whats your most used Airport? Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - Mole - 30-12-2008 Ok. I have to land more carefully ![]() Re: "You did a very nice landing, but a tire explode"! - SkyAirWorld - 30-12-2008 You should be touching down with around 155kts 150kts + 5 for target... In FS you can probably just go for 140kts |
