Strange noise while taxiing - LiamMallon - 09-09-2008
At Providence RI KPVD (flightzone 01), and in my PMDG 737 with FS Pax running, when taxiing it sounds like you're driving your car down the highway
while riding the rumble strip. Doesn't seem to happen anywhere else though. Anyone else notice this, and what would cause it? Is it because the afcad
says it's a different kind of asphalt or because it thinks it's grooved as that's how it sounds. At first i thought I had a flat tire but it did it
again when in a new flight with a perfect aircraft. This only happens on the taxiways.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry to double post but I can't edit,
Anyhow I did some detective work and found out that the sound I make on the taxiway in KPVD is the same sound you make when you go off the taxiway
onto the grass at a default scenery airport and as it works in a default airport properly in the PMDG and anything else, leaves me to believe the prob
is the KPVD afcad and nowt to do with FS Pax, or my PMDG.

Id say the AFCAD, but to test it...
disable the sounds in FSP and have a little taxi, if there are no sounds its FSP, if there are then its the AFCAD

Yes, I experience the same thing,too. It is definitely related to the scenery, but good luck on getting the developer to try and correct the
issue. I think the developer has been AWOL for quite some time. I had the same issue w/ FlyTampa's Miami scenery having the same
type of sounds but at least they had a patch to fix the problem. FlightZone is not so attentive to any problems....so it appears that way.

Thanks for the reply. I thought as much. Looking over at their forums it does indeed seem they have all gone out but left the lights on.
