FSP Randomly Closing In Flight - philbrown - 17-02-2008

I'm having a problem with FSP closing during flights. On my flight today with the PSS 757, FSP was active just before takeoff, as I checked
the mini-report (which I usually have hidden). But once I had reached 15,000 ft, it had closed down.

There are no messages or any clue that FSP has closed, other than the FSPassengers menu item completely disappearing. This seems
to be happening on the majority of my flights with different payware aircraft, and isn't affected by things like trip distance, as I've made 10
hour flights with the Level-D 767.

Maybe uninstall FsP and reinstall?

Reinstall did the trick.

But before I had a timer on the mini-report that tells you how long you have for all the passengers to board/disembark, but it isn't there
now. Anyone know how to enable this please?

There are two choices on the bottom of the loadout screen. One says "board immediately" and the other says "real-time boarding" or
something like that. Pick the one that's similar to realtime and it will give you options of how long you want it to take including a random
time. The real-time option will be unavailable if your plane is two small for cabin-crew. You can overide the plane size=cabin crew in the
game options. Someone's probably explained it better in the FAQ.

Valoran, thanks but thats not what I'm after. I'm talking about the blue mini-report. It currently tells me how many passengers are on
board. But it used to also tell me the total number of passengers expected, the percentage of passengers on board, and a countdown
until the plane was fully boarded. Can't find an option for it anywhere.

Is this what you're after, found in the manual

Quote:Short report (icon only):
The mini-report will display on one line only with an icon indicating what the item refers to.

Verbose report (Default):
The mini-report will display text and icons, but it will also take more space. You can switch between Short and Verbose mode from the right click menu
or by using a keyboard command (CTL+SHT+C).

What Valoran told you should be exactly what you are looking for becuase if you use real-time boarding, you will get what you are looking
for.

Found it! I was selecting the Load Real Time option, but you have to right click on the mini report during boarding and select 'Show
detailed boarding display'. Mine was set to 'simple', hence only the passenger numbers, and no timer or percentage.

Looking at the manual, this option doesn't seem to be listed anywhere.
