Planned Arrival Time Problem - sparksnmagic - 27-08-2007 Hey gang, I have a question concerning Planned Arrival Time. Three times now I've had it change en route -- twice, adding about 17 hours and once deducting an hour, costing me penalties in the end. Is there some secret to the stability of the clock? I have FS9 configured to use FS "flight time", not "system time", and before any flight I use FSRealClock to set the FS9 time to real-world. I exit FSRealClock and don't fly with it running, so the clock should just tick along merrily. It just really gets my goat when I see the arrival time change to 17 hours or lose an hour. And yes, I KNOW I set the clock properly going into the flight. Anybody had experience with this issue? Hawg Re: Planned Arrival Time Problem - Serviceman - 27-08-2007 I always set the time in the World/Time and Season menu and save the flight, I've never had a problem. Perhaps its the FS9RealClock or not saving the flight. Re: Planned Arrival Time Problem - poden - 28-08-2007 Sounds like you might not have the most recent FSP release. Re: Planned Arrival Time Problem - sparksnmagic - 28-08-2007 I have the 09/05/05 version, which perports to be the latest. FSRealtime sets the clock, and once exited, never updates it again -- FS's clock just ticks along from that point, I believe. But even after changing the FS clock manually en route, it didn't change the arrival clock. Just seems fishy. Re: Planned Arrival Time Problem - sparksnmagic - 29-08-2007 I've saved the flight everytime now, after setting the time and before departure. The problem has not yet reoccurred, so maybe saving the flight was the fix... We'll see. Every time I leave the area near CYVR, the game updates scenery, and the actual GMT time rolls back one hour! This is very strange. Is there a fix, anyone? |
