Modifying the logbook?? - Stratos - 17-08-2007

I made a couple of flights with the British Airways Twin Otter available at http://www.flightsim.com I love the plane and I get some nice results
with it, the problem is that I need to land without Flaps as the plane became uncontrollable with them during landing. So I get penalization
point for not using the flaps. I want to erase that negative points as me as the commander of the plane decide what is dangerous and
what not.
Is possible??

ummmm, it should fly just like any other time, just slower. unless your in a small cessna, there is no reason not to use flaps on landing. And no, you
can't.

Re: Modifying the logbook?? - Stratos - 18-08-2007

No reason? Other than the plane bouncing up and down like crazy? Sure my passengers will be happy. Anyway, I will ignore the bad
points.

Bad FDE, get another plane.

FDE??

Re: Modifying the logbook?? - Sovek - 20-08-2007

its file for the planes, basicly it tells the simulator how that plane should fly.

You can disable the flaps penalty by editing the more_option.cfg file. Then you can fly planes that don't have flaps. In the case of the DHC-6
though, it is definitely supposed to land/take off with flaps. Sounds like a problem with the plane.

I had a freeware twotter once and if it's the same then yes, it's terrible to land, the pitch goes mad when not on a/p...
