Failures aren't cheap / insurance question - Felix - 05-08-2005

Phew, just had my 2nd gear failure with my 4000h-ATR... first one was belly landing, wich cost me over 5 Mio!
The second one (my last flight) got gear not locked down error - a 2 1/2 h flight turned out to be a 4 h flight! I'm still sweating but after three
attempts I managed to get that damn gear locked down - result: over 2 Mio. repair bill!

Thanks god my insurance helps me out with 66% cost-covering, but the insurance cost rate climbs and climbs - currently it's at around 8%. I don't have
the money to pay the repairs all by myself so my question is: does the insurance rate decrease after some time? If it only increases I will be at 100%
when my good old ATR keeps behaving like this and this way I never will get a A340 or 747 ;-)

Greetings
Felix

yes the insurance decrease if you don't have any crash by a litle amount each flight...
