settings in FS for crach-model - alie - 18-04-2007

hi all

i am an experienced pilot, but still find new issues i havent thought about in the past.

since i have installed FsP i wonder how the realistic mode in FS9 should be set.
then....as far as i know, and experienced is, when i put the realistic to >full realistic< and damage-model is also full realistic, i havent
had done any emergency landigs.
i just remember that once (far way back) i tried to land without landing gear down, with vwry smooth desent rate and on runway, but still I
crashed.
my question, is it possible for some reason, when FsP gives a faliure, to land without gears down, or land outside runways when
realistic mode is on full???

regards
alie

The number of emergencies depends on different things. The most important thing is the percentage you set up in fsp for the change of
getting a failure.. Also if you buy a new plane you can choose how old the plane is or how well it is maintenanced. The older it is and the
worse the maintenance was, the more change of getting a failure.

For the gear problem. If you get a gear failure within fsp. Check your plane in spot view. I had a few gear failures with fsp and each time
when I checked the spot view, I noticed that the gears weren't indeed not extracted full.

Hi Alie,
You should still be able to land with the gears up, and not crash...As long as it is a smooth landing.
