Come on! - Canada_Boy - 17-12-2006 maybe your tail hit the ground on landing Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Russ - 17-12-2006 Quote:Canada_Boy wrote: Nope, it looked good to me! Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Canada_Boy - 17-12-2006 hmmmm ![]() well -426 ft/mn isnt going to kill anyone were you useing addon airport scenery Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Drew - 17-12-2006 Tail hitting ground would show a tail strike on report I know you will say yes, but , was your gear down? Thats the only reason i can think it would report a crash Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Russ - 17-12-2006 Gear down? DEFINITELY, I didn't even bounce. Rolled along runway for about 2 seconds, then CRASH!!! No addon scenery. Maybe a one-off anomaly? Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Mac - 17-12-2006 You're flying the Project Opensky 767, correct? Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Hannes44 - 17-12-2006 Just had similar happen to me when landing in VGZR Dhaka I landed with -211ft/min (nice landing the report said) gear was down, mo tailstrike etc. all was very smooth and I even got those 50some extra points for a nice landing but 1second later the aircraft crashed (or so said the report from outsideview it stood perfectly ok on the runway). Is there a problem with POSKY planes? I flew the 737-800 Re: Awwwww. Come on! - gronji2004 - 17-12-2006 If you deployed your spoilers too quickly or applied reverse thrust, it would send the front section of the aircraft downwards with lots of force, therefore breaking the front landing gear, causing you to crash. Can you remember how fast you were going?? Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Hannes44 - 17-12-2006 I was going 144 Knots when landing; no reverse thrust applied; spoilers armed. They deploy automatically. Re: Awwwww. Come on! - Ceemosp - 17-12-2006 Hello Hannes, read this topic from the POSKY forum. It covers the 767 but also applies to the 737. It's a question of weight vs. vertical speed with which the nosegear hits the runway. I hope this helps ![]() http://forum.projectopensky.com/index.php?showtopic=12721 Regards Carsten Re: Awwwww.
