Traffic controller voice distortion - dreaddy - 03-08-2006

whenever my PMDG (Boeing)aircrafts are airbourne anything the traffic controllers or other pilots say comes as a noise with no voice.
This only happens when the aircraft is airbourne (although sometimes there is a bit when on ground). Also this happens mostly in
virtual and 2D views. When my pilot speaks its fine; just when others speak.
At one point I thought it might be a memory problem but I've increased the RAM from 1 to 2 gigs but same problem.
hulp! (hulp=extreme help needed as in the help needed on the Titanic when she ran into that bit of problem)

Can you not hear the ATC? I have the PMDG 744, and it is hard to hear what anyone is saying also.

If there is a problem with hearing the ATC:

Because of the different shape of the nose, the Boeing 747-400 is easily has the loudest of any jet. Many airline companies are even
handing out noise-cancelling headphones for their pilots. You should try turning ATC sound setting to the maximum volume, or fly at a
lower altitude. No more then 10,000 feet.

If it is not the ATC:

If it's not the ATC your having trouble hearing, then I would suggest consulting PMDG's support forum. It is over at AVSIM.

Hope this helps!
