Wrong authorization ? - LaFe - 28-06-2006

Hi,

I've been using for almost a year (bought it on 20050713), and I have received authorization errors for the past week.
When I start FS2004, the FSPassengers menu look normal, I can create flights, manage the company etc. But after
a while I receive a "wrong authorization, buy FSP" message (or something similar). The FSP menu then dissapears from
FS2004. The only thing I've done recently is migrating to a larger HD. Drive letters are the same, though.
I always use the same flight on FS2004 startup, fly to a location and save the flight on exit. I've tested different aircraft but I'm
currently trying to take off from LFRM (Le Mans, France) , haven't tried other locations yet, will do that tonight.
Any clues ?

regards,

Lars

so have you just moved all of your files to a different harddrive?

if so, intall FsP again (no need to uninstall, it wont overwrite your database, (you may wish to back up your sound/payload folders if you
have added to them) and then unlock FsP again with your original code, then you should be good to go Smile

reason........

Quote:DID YOU COPY/MOVE THE FSPASSENGER FOLDER?
There is an anti folder copy protection, you can not move the folder, FsP will detect that. If you want to move it because you reinstalled
Fs2004 for example, simply reinstall FsPassengers in your new Fs2004 directory, unlock the demo again (using your original key) and
copy the 'FsPassengers/Database' folder which contain all your flight data from your old installation to the new one.

Re: Wrong authorization ? - LaFe - 28-06-2006

I started a new flight from Hamburg to Cologne and it went OK without reinstallation, but if I experience problems again I will reinstall FSP
as advised.

best regards

The same thing is happening to me! I would start a new flight and about 10-15 minutes after I start it, it tells me "Wrong authorization.
Aborting flight." This has happened every time I start a flight lately. I haven't moved or modified ANY files. I have reinstalled the program 3
or 4 times. Someone please help!

Re: Wrong authorization ? - Maurice Lyon - 27-07-2006

I Tried to fly in demo mode, as I cant put in my unlock code, it came up when I was taxiing to the runway and told me to buy FSP, how
many times must you buy it before it works?.........

Re: Wrong authorization ? - Dutch64 - 27-07-2006

Maurice, I noticed your problem in several posts, I think you should best contact Dan (see bottom of page for contact button) and explain him in
detail what has happened, what you've been trying so far etc.

Re: Wrong authorization ? - Maurice Lyon - 27-07-2006

Hi Dutch, I know I have put it in several posts because it is getting rather frustrating considering I got payware. I have tried reinstalling it
several times but no success, Dan is in contact with me but it is getting the better of me..........

Re: Wrong authorization ? - leboyrio - 28-07-2006

Hi i have had the same problem i reinstalled the fs passengers did the upgrade etc... and still i get the same message! wrong
authorization code please buy FSP when i uninstalled fsp i did not save the data base is that is the reason?

Re: Wrong authorization ? - Dutch64 - 28-07-2006

It's not the reason, if you do a complete fresh install of fsp it should be fine after you entered your name and code again. Just don't move it to
another dir or disk after installing.

Re: Wrong authorization ? - Joshuah A. Wetzel - 28-09-2006

Do you copy and paste or type the user name and password manually? If you type it manually, have you tried copying and pasting your
user name and password?

Re: Wrong authorization ? - Ceemosp - 28-09-2006

Happened on my first installation attempt after new FS9 installation. I uninstalled it (YES, I did have backup copies of the datafiles)
DELETED the fsp folder and re-installed after reboot and all went fine apart from my little incidents problem lol

Maybe your code looks like this: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. If so than try XXXX_XXXX_XXXX (with underscores)
