[solved] Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Fly_A_300 - 17-04-2006

Hello forum user,

my English is not the best, but I try it.

Last week I became the Commercial Level Simulations A 340 600, with would be a member of my Passenger
Airline if the Payload Model accept this aircraft.

If I bought the aircraft it wasn't a problem, but if I start a flight with this aircraft the start window (the window which
shows how much passengers
are waiting at the gate) doesn't come on my screen and the default Payload Model opens. So I can't make a flight
with that aircraft, because I can’t
board passengers or load any cargo on my airplane.

Please help me or say me what I have to do, because I don't know what I have to change in the aircraft config. I
have tried something like changing
the “ui manufacturer” or the title in the config but nothing brought success.

And I have seen there is a payload model for the A 340 600 in the FS Passenger program.

Why the program opens the default payload model if there is an A340 600 model available.

So I hope you can understand my English and solve my problem.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Drew - 17-04-2006

im thinking you are saying, that you have installed a payload model for an aircraft, but the payload model is not showing up in the load
window, just a default payload?

if that is correct, the changes are the payload ini file needs renaming to match the aircraft name, or part of it.

See this FAQ for help on that
http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=faq&question=53

ps, Welcome

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Fly_A_300 - 17-04-2006

Yes I have tried to change the name of the Ini file but it doesn't work. I have now four ini files with different names but i have always the same
problem.

The FAQ can help me, i have tried this before I have posted.

Ok here is the text what FSPassenger shows if i start a flight with this aircraft.

Default Payload model

A specific payload model for this aircraft isn't available in your installation

A default one based on aircrafts weight will be used.

What i have to do?

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Fly_A_300 - 17-04-2006

I've solved the problem by my self.

You have to change the title in the aircraft.cfg into A340-600 556 Lufthansa for example.

Thank you for nothing.

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Drew - 17-04-2006

so, changing the ini name to match the name within the cfg was not the solution, the solution was changing the cfg aircraft name to match the ini name lollol

you didnt have to change the cfg aircraft name, a simpler way would have been to change the payload ini name, as i said above

you obviously named everyone of them incorrectly huh Wink and now you have changed the cfg to match one of your 4 incorrectly named files

ps,

oh look, he fixed it by renaming the Payload name Wink

Thank you for not listening Wink

Hi Fly_A_300

I had the same problem, too. After your post i'm now able to fly with the A340-600, thank you very much.

I also asked FsP Team for help, and they didn't say anything interesting to Help. Of course that we read the FAQ so if we are here on
forum asking for help it's because we read the FAQ and didn't get anything. I don't know why these forum exist if they don't help or try to
help.

As you said ...
Quote:Thank you for nothing.

As i said ...

That's all,

Then tell me why the FAQ exists if nobody reads it, or why is there a good documentation with the product if nobody reads it?
So you prefer that we would just copy the manual and the FAQ here for you instead of asking you to read it yourself? If after reading that still
something is not clear, then ask a detailed question with the proper information and you will always get an answer from 'staff' or other forum members.

so you altered the name of the aircraft in the cfg? oh dear me, the author who wrote the FAQ stating to change the name of the payload file
must have it all wrong Well

you read the FAQ, but the answer to this post is in the FAQ i posted in the 1st reply in this thread, but was ignored Well ive also looked at your post where you said you got no reply, and that answer is also the same FAQ :hmmm:

not to worry, im sure we will remember to not help you with any future questions if that is your attitude

not as disappoint at the number of times i see the same question because people are too lazy to read the documentation, the FAQ and
do a simple search of the forums

Have a nice day Smile

You, too. Beer

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Fly_A_300 - 18-04-2006

If you change the name of the payload file, it doesn’t solve the problem with the CLS 340 600. If people have problems with other aircraft it can be
probably a help to read the FQA and the documentation and the help files. But there is nothing about solving this problem.

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Drew - 18-04-2006

what happens if you want to purchase a new plane, maybe using a different livery, are you going to rename that so all of your planes are
named the same thing??? So you could be flying a KLM named 'A340-600 556 Lufthansa' because thats the only way it will work with
that payload now.

However, if you read the FAQ, and renamed the payload to 'A340-600 556' then you could use the same payload on 'A340-600 556
Lufthansa' and also 'A340-600 556 KLM' without any renaming to match in the CFG

ps, no you didnt need to change the aircraft name at all, but you will not understand that.

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - Drew - 18-04-2006

http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=10110

read this, airbus payload problem, changed the payload name, now all working

i will say again, you have to do no editing of the aircraft cfg name at all

Just to add, im not saying you can't edit the aircraft name, but its far far easier to edit the ini name, and also you can then use the payload model for other liveries

Thats all im saying on the matter, as i know this is correct, if you do not with to belive this, that thats your choice Smile

If that didn't solve it, what does then? You said you changed the 'title=' line in your aircraft.cfg right? So, just curious, what is your ini file
named now and what is the title= line in your aircraft.cfg? Do they match?
What i don't understand from this whole post is that is said that changing the name of the ini file didn't work but changing the title line in the
aircraft.cfg did the trick. Are maybe non standard characters used in the title for this plane?

Re: Problem with the CLS 340 600 - nuno - 18-04-2006

You guys write a lot!!!... The problem was the aircraft title on aircraft.cfg needs to be compatible with the payload model!!!... That was my
problem... Why didn't u guys say that?... I read the FAQ and i didn't understand, i thougth the the "title" that is on FAQ was the title on the
aircfrat folder and i got embarassed ... U guys just need to say here
Quote:You have to change the title in the aircraft.cfg into A340-600

as fly_a_a330 said.

Look what Mr.Drew wrote
Quote:if that is correct, the changes are the payload ini file needs renaming to match the aircraft name, or part
of it.
Yeah right!!! But where? Aircfrat folder? aircfrat title?... U didn't specify what really was the problem!... Sorry but u failed and u
have to admit it.

That's all,

Thank you...

as fly_a_a330 said.

But you dont, thats what we are trying to tell you,

You take the aircraft title, as it is originally, and create the payload to match all of it or part of it, as per the example in the FAQ

also, how did i know your ini file was named 'A340-600 556 Lufthansa' Well to tell you to change the aircraft title to that (which would have been wrong of me anyway as the payload needed renaming)

i Assumed you had read the FAQ as you have stated several times

''''''''from the FAQ as posted

match the aircraft name as found as in 'title=' line of aircraft.cfg...................

Dont think it can get much more simple, i have failed in no way, we would not even be having this conversation, and this post would not
be here, if people read the FAQ

therefore, thread closed Wink
