Another Aircraft loaded FS Passenger Flight Aborted - skycopp - 15-04-2006 Was just taking off from ENGM in a B 737-500 and received this message somewhere around 1600 feet. I searched the boards and seen that there was an issue with Cloud or something or other and to download bglman.dll. I don't use that addon, but do use other addons, so I searched my drive for that file, but never found it. Anyway. This happened to me the other day, twice on the same flight. The only commonality was that these were both flightplans that I have been using for quite a while. I got tired of the aircraft in both and changed them to another b737-500 with a different model and texture. I have used other *.flt files before with FSP but didn't have that issue. There is another thing that could be a part of the problem. I changed the scenery for the ENGM (Oslo, Norway) and the changes caused my aircraft to crash into a building just as I load the flight. I then used slew in both of these *.flt files to set into a new location and then saved it. That is the only thing that I could figure that may have anything to do with this error is that I used slew and made a new *.flt file. Any suggestions on why I got these errors? Addons: FS Genesis USA Roads Active Sky 6 Ground Environment Traffic 2005 P4 2.8 2 GB Ram Radeon 9200 256 MB All MegaScenery's and MegaCities Saitek Joystick. All are patched and the latest. Post Edited ( 04-15-06 05:02 ) Re: Another Aircraft loaded FS Passenger Flight Aborted - Dutch64 - 15-04-2006 I'm not very sure whether i understand the situation but for one thing, slew is indeed not allowed in FsP. When exactly do you get these "aborted" messages? Re: Another Aircraft loaded FS Passenger Flight Aborted - skycopp - 15-04-2006 The slew was done before the FSP was started. Basically I had a *.flt file that become incompatable with new scenery I installed because of the starting location which crashed into a building once the flight was loaded. Basically, I slewed to a different starting location and saved a new *.flt file. Then using the new *.flt file, I would start up FSP, set up the load, load up the passengers, taxi to the runway, and then take off. In this most recent event, the error message occurred at about 3500 feet (not 1600 as I originally thought) after takeoff and happened shortly after I clicked the "NAV" to follow the course. Note, the new scenery for Oslo (ENGM) has not previously caused any problems with other flights that use that scenery. The only 2 flights that the error occurred in were ones in which slew was used to set up a new starting position, before FSP is even used. Last night after this error occurred, I setup a new flight completely from scratch, saved it for future use, and used FSP with no problem. Another item of note is that these 2 flight plans were originally for use with a different aircraft, but I manually edited them to use a different aircraft (that I own in FSP). I have done this with other flights and had no problem with FSP. I know these types of things are hard to debug, but if or when this happens again, what kind of information can I gather that may help to resolve the issue? Thanks. Re: Another Aircraft loaded FS Passenger Flight Aborted - Dutch64 - 16-04-2006 Hmm, I use slew a lot to postition my plane at a certain gate before i start fsp and it never gave me problems, I don't think it's the problem. However, maybe something went wrong while you edited the flt files? But as i understood you correctly you don't have problems anymore now, right? Usually an abort of the flight is caused by a slight change of location (other then normal flying or taxiing of course) or change of aircraft during flight. So scenery or the different plane in the flt file might have played a role here Re: Another Aircraft loaded FS Passenger Flight Aborted - skycopp - 16-04-2006 I've already checked the problem *.flt files for any other planes that may be mentioned. I resolved the problem by starting from scratch and saving a new *.flt. Maybe I goofed something in the manual configuration. I would say that something has got to be done about saving while FSP is running. I've had several crashes due to a scenery bug or for other mysterious reasons. It sux to do a perfect 3 1/2 hour flight from LGAV to ENGM, only to lose the whole flight because my plane ran into a virtual invisible pothole. This last flight, I just landed and was pulling to gate 182 at ENGM (stock scenery), and somewhere on that tarmac is a stupid pothole that will end the flight because it crashes, even though there is nothing there. Re: Another Aircraft loaded FS Passenger Flight Aborted - 1rescue - 17-04-2006 Sometimes things like that can happen, yes. and sometimes installed addons are not configured well so you run into invisible walls etc. When I land, I end fspassenger, upload the result to my VA, before I continue taxing to the gate. Save greiene kommer kanskje i neste versjon. Vet de hadde litt probs med det i denne .. ![]() |
