no upgrades lately - samiranks - 03-04-2006
Im just wondering when a next upgrade will take place. I hope i dont get my head chewed off. But fspassengers is probably the most
used or recommended program with flightsim (along with activesky 6 of course) so Im just trying to find out.

The last update was in August '05? One wonders if there's ever going to be another one. Even if there isn't, I've found I can live with the problems
by just turning off most penalties, etc.

wasnt the last update in september not august
plus the only thing ive found that needs updating if the cargo aspect other than that just turn off certain penalties and presto!

At the moment I have the light penalties off, but that's because I'm in a war setting and let's face it you don't try to land at an airport to put
troops in there all lit up like a Christmas tree (or if you want to be PC about it, a party tree).

Well actually...the last update was just recently.
Not an official one, though, but nevertheless, quite a significant one:

The only difference from an official update is it's not bundled with FSP. So.. why don't you give it a try?

My guess would be that since there hasn't been any info let out by Dan about an ongoing upgrade, there really isn't a plan to do one. Since there
aren't any "dealbreaker" type bugs (only nuisances), this isn't such a bad thing.

the only upgrade i would like. is to see the change in when meals are served automatic. I know its better to do it manually, but
sometimes im gone for about 8 to 10 hours so i cant do manually. my pax would be hungry before that time frame. so I think if fsp
changes the time when pax are serve. maybe 30 min within flight or 1hr first. that would give enough food available for long flights without
running out.

There were a lot of good suggestions in the "Great Suggestions" thread which Dan had stated he was monitoring, I hope that at least some of
them are being implemented, and there really is a need for a cargo only option. I thought from what I had been reading on the update sections
that Dan had one within a few weeks of release?

well if i have a failure its just the chance i take. because im in school full time and work 10hrs a day so i dont get to fly in front of the
computer a lot. But most of the time about 80% i dont get failures, because i dont fly with high failure levels when im not in front of the
computer (although i got an engine failure on the leveld. Dont know why, but it also cause my wheels not to come down after the failure)

Speaking of other things. I wish Dan would come out with a nice ai sound for take off taxi hearing the spool up sound as aircraft move on
taxiway and also landing reverser and take off spool up
