overspeed penalty - Usty - 22-02-2006 I just wanted to mention: I got an unfair overspeed penalty from FSX due to windshear.. I climbing thrue FL250 for FL350 when the headwind increased from 5kts to 100 kts within a splitsecond.. there was only a minor overspeed, but the penalty was -600 points! :S this was while flying the level-D B767-300 with FMC on economical climb.. I understand that the main problem is the weather in FS. because it has has very poor weather system transitions (I mean none!).. it is alway's like BANG and there is wind.. is it possible to program fsp in a way that it recocnise this wind change, and overspeed error will be alittle bit lighter less point consuming?? I was lucky btw to fly with my 767 test pilot in fsp and full with pax :P.. regards.. Usty (Rico) Re: overspeed penalty - Sovek - 22-02-2006 first of all, If you have FSX, you prolly shouldnt be saying you have it, as you are no doubt under some restrictions. Second in FS9 with the wind thing is to get FSUIPC (this program is a must if your going to be building your own cockpit controls too). Re: overspeed penalty - SaVas - 22-02-2006 More than likely he means FS9, but my recommendation, is to fork out a few beans and get Active Sky 6. It has by far the most realistic weather engine of anything available for FS9, and the textures look great as well making FS9 more lifelike |
