Inaccurate arrival time - burkino_026 - 20-02-2006

Hi ther. I asked for help some time ago but havent received it... I will ask again

I am experiencing problems with the time in FsPassengers

I fly BAV, very prfessionally. BAV ACARS records my time. I keep FS sync to real time and compensate FS loosing time by advancind the plane to where
it would be supposed to be. I arrive at destination fairly on time, sometimes i arrive with some delay, usually never early as i try not to by
reducing speed. Im flying PMDG 747 and it is great.

FsP used to work perfectly. Then suddendly i reralised that i was arriving with 1:30 or so left in FsP time although i was on time. This happens
mainly on long hauls but can be experienced also in shorter flight. It's kinda like FsP would loose progressively the timing making it less efficient.
It's not only becoz i dont get bonus for arriving in time but also that i get less hrs in my log than i should.
Thats why i stopped use FsP as a manager and use it now only as ambience. Becoz it is not accurate anymore.

I wish i could have the timing back. Although i wont use FsP as a manager anymore, unless relevant updates are released but considering options I
doubt it....

1:30? And what time was the whole flight? Sometimes it can differ some minutes but it usually is fs to blame, no matter what sync to clock you're using...
And during flight, do you notice time going too fast or slow on the minireport?

Re: Inaccurate arrival time - Stentor - 20-02-2006

Don't think that has anything to do with FSP, you figure out the time and you fly the jet, FSP just keeps track of the time elapsed, it has no
influence on how long or short a flight will, be, that's determined by you and the weather.

FsP count each second aof the internal clock of FS and run 10 time per seconds, enough to be very precise...
you mean 1h30 or 1mn30sec ? if it's 1h30 you have a serious bug in your system, or another software is
messing the internal clock of Fs.
if it's 1mn30 recall that time is counted from brake release to last brake stop, 1mn30 seem really litle difference...

1 hour and 30 minutes difference.

I use FSUIPC to fix the FS default clock. It used to work fine on both FS default clock and FSUIPC fixed. Dont really know, i might have to re-install
FSP to see if it fixes itself.

As FSP relly on the internal clock of FS and as you seem to be the first one to report such
problem it seem to me that the problem might be in Fs instead.
Notice it may be the infamous bug of FS with time, FSUIPC corrected it but this correction
(time warp) may have brought the problem you saw.

Did it happened only once or at each flight ?

As i said it used to work ok both with FSUIPC and withouth. Then suddendly i realised one day that it stopped working ok. I usually fly 747 on at
least 4 hrs flights so i can see it quite often happen.

I have to re-format my pc for errors and problems, dont know why, i tryed System works all tools and doctors etc, also scan disk etc but nothing,
still errors, and strangely PMDG stopped working, i mean that when i laod the plane either 747 or 737 it gives me errors loading the gauges, it loads
up withouth gauges.... Other windows i put like Ground handling and RealityXP weather radar work, but all other windows have got no gauges, just
bitmaps. And to talk about the errors while loading...

Gee this is the time i have to cancel everything and reboot with the installation CD, having to install again all single programs from Norton to
FS... personal documents included

We'll see if Fspassengers once installed again will give same problem, i dont think though
