Good Plane for starting FSP flights in. - Zatnikitelman - 28-07-2005

If you create a training level pilot, then you are likely to go with buying a Cessna 172. But with that rating you can also buy the Mooney
Bravo which is faster and a bit easier to handle. YOu do have retractable landing gear so there is more to go wrong on it than a cessna,
but you can engage the ALT and HDG autopilot without having to engage the whole autopilot which helps a lot on takeoff. It also has
speed brakes which pop out of the wing like scissors which help alot with sowing down on the runway. You have to be careful on
descents though as you can quickly gain enough speed to go overspeed even at a -700fps dive.

Hi Zatnikitelman,

You can use all of them. I also like the Mooney, sleek, fast and fun. Actually, I find the Mooney much harder to handle then the C172 or the C182. All
three of these default aircraft are good planes to start with.
